1864 6/10

Tries to be Downton Abbey, Band of Brothers, Borgen and Hollyoaks all at the same time and does none of them well.

Entertaining show about the crew that run privately chartered cruise ships. Turn off your brain and enjoy.

If you want some quality gooseberry fool, may i reccomend 'Party Down South'. Its a bunch of rednecks having a Geordie shore type break every series, but it's absolute strawberry floating carnage and has had us laughing our arses off many a time.

While I’ve found myself enjoying most episodes of Black Mirror more watching them the second time round, ‘Crocodile’ is not one of them, person goes on murderous rampage and conveniently gets caught at the end by a guinea pig of all things :fp:

Going to watch Metalhead next as that was another episode I wasn’t keen on first time round, then I’ve got Hang the DJ and Black Museum to finish off series 4 which are both great episodes in my opinion.

Started watching Cobra Kai, it’s great so far  obviously a little on the cheesy side but great nonetheless.

Cobra Kai may not be flawless but it's easily the most fun I've had watching a show in a long time.

Same. I can’t put my finger on it. Haven’t seen most of the films either.

Transformers: War for Cybertron - part 2: Earthrise - 8/10

I'll start by saying the 3D animation is a little rough and janky but for any fans of the G1 series (and Movie) I'd urge you to look beyond the aesthetics and give it a watch.

Loads of neat references to the movie and G1(some G2 too) throughout this.

Spoilers
Galvatron appearing in the same way he was created in the movie
Unicron
Scorpanok
forshadowing Optimus' death in the movie
Sky Lynx
Quintessons

Hang the DJ is top tier Black Mirror

Sadly I have series 5 to rewatch after Black Museum, I only enjoyed one episode of that when I first watched it so seeing how it is on a rewatch should be interesting

Finished off Black Mirror, actually found series 5 to be more enjoyable on the rewatch than first time, its still not a great series of Black Mirror though, really hope series 6 (if there is one) is better.

Also watched the first 3 episodes of Cobra Kai series 2, its still absolutely fantastically bonkers

Edit, the wonderfully cheesy nature of it really reminds me of the ‘Rex Kwon Do’ scene from Napoleon Dynamite

The Good Lord Bird - 8/10
A timely story about the abolitionist John Brown, with a powerhouse performance from Hawke and an excellent Johnson. Considering the subject matter, it was surprisingly humorous throughout.

Vikings S8 Part 2 - 5/10
The 2nd part of the final season is just so painfully average; they basically ran out of story to tell. Will be interesting to see if Vikings Valhalla can bring it back to its glory days.

Man in the High Castle - 8/10

Some missteps regarding character motivations and some jarring shifts in the narrative, but overall it’s excellent. Prime Video only I think.

Alice in Borderland - 8/10

Knew absolutely nothing about this, so it was crazy to watch unfold. Pretty gruesome in places too, good stuff.

The Expanse - 9/10

Available on Prime Video.

It's so much better than I ever imagined it would be. I have very few complaints, if any, it's just so strawberry floating good. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO WATCH IT. strawberry float. Yes. More of this type of sci-fi, please.

Next episode goes up tomorrow. Excited.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - 8/10

Available on Hulu

Been meaning to get into this for a long time. I'm only on season 2 so it's relatively early days, but it's been really funny so far.

Congrats, Sunny is awesome, until it begins to decline around S8.
