Pachinko S1 - 7/10

Not bad by any means but I did find I had to force myself to watch the last couple of episodes as I just didn't think it was that compelling. While watching it I thought it was a one-and-done thing but apparently its been renewed for a second season.

The Boys S3 - 9/10

God, I love this show. Compelling, funny, smart and exciting. The way it rips the piss out of MAGA shithead fascists is just the icing on the cake.

The Deuce (Season 3) - 8/10
The final season charts the cleaning up of New York City and the rise of Aids. Outside of The Wire, this has definitely been my favourite David Simon show; it's just been consistently good throughout with a great cast of characters. It's a pity it only got three seasons, but at least they got to tell a full story.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds (Season 1) - 9/10
Honestly (and surprisingly!) as good a Trek as anyone could have hoped for. Would have liked a slightly longer season, but I'll take quality over quantity!

The Boys - S3 - 8/10

I love this show but I don't think it goes far enough. The show seems to think it's an extreme and shocking show, but (ignoring the blood and swearing) is quite tame and nowhere near as subversive as it wants to be.

Juvenile Justice (Netflix) Only 10 episodes long but it crams so much in to those episodes and it's all handled so well (nothing feels rushed) you really feel the weight of the drama. I initially likened it to Law & Order, but it's way above that in terms of performances and drama. Superb show. I need more Kim Hye-soo!

Clone Wars 3

Best one yet with some great arcs. 4 has been off to a fairly meh start but I'm sure it'll get better.

Resident Evil - 6/10

That might be too high a score because it's clearly not a particularly good show, but I did find myself entertained for a lot of it so have been generous. Lance Reddick seemed to be enjoying himself with it and has some good moments. Probably has the one of the most incompetent main characters of any show

Russian Doll S1 8/10- Enjoyed this, was slick and entertaining and didn't get to bogged down with explaining too much.

Russian Doll S2 4/10- Not really sure what happened, but found it a mess and very boring. Had a few bits which were alright, but overall a real let down.

Klem/The Blood Pact 8/10 (All 3 seasons): Dutch crime drama available on Walter Presents. The first season is incredibly slow to get going but the perseverance pays off. Builds tension well and you're never quite sure whether you won't to root for the protagonists. Feels Fargoesque in places. The main character is an accountant so maybe it hit me more than it would others.

I'm about half way through Umbrella Academy Season 3.

Whoever made a post earlier was spot on.

Do the characters EVER communicate with one another?

13 Reasons Why: Season 3 - 6/10

Bit of a mixed bag this time, some of the stories worked, others didn't, the main whodunnit theme was an interesting one but the ending (and ultimate reveal) felt pretty off.

Resident Evil on Netflix 6/10
I didnt think it was too bad. The main overarching story is quite good, and i though the time jumping worked quite well. Lance Reddick is good. The pacing was OK imo with little filler. The ending is very unsatisfying and pretty poor though, and the series seems to tease something about the main charactersbut delivers bad payoff. Also im not a fan of the games.

Clone Wars 4

A very mixed bag this one. I found the first half of the season to be fairly meh and none of it really added anything worthwhile to the lore. Second half was pretty great though with a focus on Ventress, the Night Sisters and Maul.

The Last Kingdom S5

Satisfactory ending to a series which was always entertaining, but never quite seemed to hit the heights of the best shows. Still, if you want some Viking-y action and have already watched, er, Vikings, you could do a lot worse.

6/10

Finished Umbrella Academy Season 3.

Bits with Alison 2/10.

Bits without Alison 7/10

It's losing its wind and not sure where it's going....but yet, I'd be happy to see it renewed for Season 4. I like the show, it has a greattrack. Klaus, 5 and Lila are excellent characters and I like it's sense of humour. It's not too serious and it knows it.
