The OA (Season 1) - 10/10
One of the best things I've watched recently. I wasn't sure during episode 1 until the last 15 minutes or so, and then it reached a high that it managed to maintain for the rest of the season.

I love this and I'm not sure if it's a guilty pleasure or not.

Enjoy series 2! Then we can cry together in the knowledge that it will never continue.

Umbrella Academy Season 2.

A much more confident outing that season 1 - the basic structure is the same, but that's about it. There's enough moving parts that everyone's always involved somehow - whereas in season 1 there seemed deadends/pointless side quests.

Just found it enjoyable to watch. The characters, the world, the cinematography. It's just enjoyably throughout.

Puts a few dangling plot threads to bed, opens up a load more questions. Dear god it's confirmed for season 3 right?

Norseman series 3, not quite as good as the first 2 series but still an enjoyable watch. I wasn’t aware it was a prequel series before I started watching it.

Now I’m watching a couple of episodes of Unresolved Mysteries on Netflix, found the first couple of episodes pretty poor so I’ve just put on the UFO focused one before calling it a day, so far this episode it basically people who’ve seen UFO films/accounts and just saying they’ve lived through something similar. I was expecting this to be quite a nice little series but its just not.

Humans - 6/10

Great first series, average second series, appalling third series.

Gemma Chan

Still haven't watched the third season! Think I saw the first episode and never bothered carrying on with it

I wouldn't bother carrying on.

Agreed on Gemma Chan though

South Park 23

Quite an uneven series, half of which was all about Tegridy farms and Randy Marsh's increasingly erratic behaviour.

There seemed to be a lack of direction once that story ended though.

Yeah, it absolutely gripped us from start to finish. Some terrific performances in there too.

I still haven't seen the first season. My wife had already watched it so we started from 2. Need to go back to it at some point.

The third series was pretty much universally panned? We watched the first but were put off by that, maybe we should carry on after all.

The thing I liked about The Sinner the most is that song that replays a lot in the first season.

I thought it was very clever how it's used to almost condition you for anxiety along with the lead character, so when you finally see what happend and they start playing the song, you start getting the fear too

Daredevil 3

I really enjoyed it but it's just a Netflix Marvel season. Very difficult to get truly excited by them at this point as they are the definition of cookie cutter. Watched S2E1 of The Punisher but I might have to leave some time between the two so I don't get bored of the same formula again. Also, it was strange but the production values seemed to lessen as DD3 went on. By the final few episodes, there were a couple of scenes, particularly the street fight in daylight, that looked like mid-morning sitcom/straight to video levels of quality.

Not officially, but I will be very surprised if it doesn't get renewed based on reviews and early viewing figures.

I *love* Ellen Page in Umbrella Academy. Think she plays her character brilliantly. And the big dopey English guy as well.

Shame that the handler pelted it though. For me, I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with Ben, the alien dad from Thor and the Sparrow Academy. Hopefully we get to see more of the 43 kids - we know of 14 of them now(the seven originals, the six new ones that are partnered with Ben, and the English lady who zapped out at the end of the last episode) so there are still 29 to get out there.

Same. I liked the first two seasons. Started watching the third and got a couple of episodes in. It's okay so far, not great but not awful. The knowledge that all the reviews were terrible meant we kind of just gave up and switched to another show.

Manhunt: Unabomber - 7/10

It got off to a rather slow start with a miscast Sam Worhtington, but improved round the half way mark when Paul Bettany came into it and it delved nto the unabomber's background. There's one particular later episode with some pretty unbelievable stuff!
