Why was it removed?

Why was it removed?

One of the characters plays a dark elf in the D&D game:

And, to be fair the the show, was repeatedly called out on the potential impact of his choice of dress.

Yeah I think it is one of the instances where I think they might have been a bit heavy handed in culling the episode for it.

But I can understand why they might have just wanted to do a clean sweep of anything that could potentially be seen as offensive.

I thought the first season was slightly better but this was still a hilarious season. Again the paintball episodes were the highlight for me.

Are you watching on Netflix out of interest?

There's a very good episode that I think Netflix have removed from the season recently - if you didn't see them playing Dungeons and Dragons then you have missed out!

First D&D is incredible.

I hump it

Genuinely jealous of you experiencing Community 1 to 3 for the first time.

Yeah watching Community for the first time is a dream ticket.

I watched the first episode of Schitts Creek last night. strawberry float me that was terrible! :dread:

First episodes or pilots of shows are rarely the best efforts but even so they should do enough to establish themes, characters, relationships etc. and generally offer you something that makes you think "I'll keep watching this". Oh and also if you're making a sitcom then it's a good idea to make it funny as well! The first episode of Schitts offers none of that, there is literally nothing here that incentivises me to watch another minute of it!

Really can't be arsed to watch any more of it to see if there is a reason why it has been garnering so much praise so I will just assume that there isn't one.

After listening to news presenters awkwardly say the title of the show when it won awards part of me thinks that could have been a good enough reason for most people to vote for it. I've not seen it, but would have voted for it purely for this reason.

Raised by Wolves.* 5/5

Holy gooseberry fool. I mean...holy gooseberry fool. The first episode is hands down the best first episode I've seen of anything, ever and is the best thing Ridley Scott has directed since...I dunno, Gladiator. It's basically a feature film, and one of the most interesting sci-fi worlds I've seen on screen in years.

It does slow down once Scott relinquishes directorial duties, and the plot levels off mid-season to the point where it gets a little dull. But then it picks up by the end and the finale is extraordinary.

One of the best written, acted, designed and directed shows in ages. Everyone with a passing interest in science fiction should watch.

*the Ridley Scott one, not the Caitlyn "Ur Example of Champaign Centrist" Moran autobiographical nonsense one.

Finished Rebels off earlier, didn’t realise series 4 was only 15 episodes, much like the last 4 episodes of the Clone Wars, the last few episodes of Rebels are fantastic.

Euphoria

Only three episodes in so far but it's very strong. Teen drama based around drugs, alcohol, sex, friendship, love, all that gooseberry fool.

Finished The Boys last night which I thought was a really good second series.

Any word on a series 3? I’m assuming so as it seems to be doing really well but don’t recall hearing anything about one.

The Boys S2 - Holy gooseberry fool those last two episodes were off the scale. Season 1 was good but season 2 has been fantastic. Really interested to see where they take season 3 which must be inevitable. Only disappointment, that Billy didn't call Homelander a snivelling banana split when he walked past him towards the end of the last episode.
