I’ve just found myself rewatching quite a few series rather than trying anything new (I do mean to try Snowpiercer on Netflix at some point), currently watching series 2 of Sex Education again and just watched the episode where they focus on Issac a little more and the writers did a fantastic job of making him hugely unlikeable

Still think this is one of my favourite things I’ve watched on Netflix.

WandaVision - 7/10
Overall, I quite enjoyed the series, apart from my misgivings with time spent on the sitcoms; its definitely raised my hopes for the upcoming shows, after being fairly apathetic about them.

The Terror - 7/10
There's a sense of foreboding throughout, but, it's story is more horrifying than terrifying. I'm not really sure if it benefited much from adding a monster tbh, rather than just concentrating solely on the men / expedition. Still, worth a watch and the leads are all great, especially Jared Harris. It's on iplayer at mo.

The Society

Got into this so much, by the end of series one it's hard not to be screaming at the TV! Really, really enjoyed it.

So you can imagine my disappointment when I google'd it afterwards to find out it's been cancelled and there will be no series 2  due to Covid, apparently. Major bummer.

Currently 2 episodes into The Terror, definitely feels like it’s going to get by on its suspenseful storytelling more than anything else. It’s good so far, good cast of actors in it too.

The Terror is one of the best shows in years.

Oh, I didn't realise that was now on BBC iPlayer. Cheers for the heads up.

Lovecraft Country just keeps getting better and better. Unless it nose dives towards the end, I'd definitely recommend it.

Watched episode 3 and 4 of The Terror this afternoon, I can kind of picture how the majority of the cast are going to end up but finding out how they get there is certainly proving very good. Jared Harris is fantastic in this, much like he was in Chernobyl (the series, I very much doubt he was at the actual disaster ).

I finished Demon Slayer. The most impressive thing to me about the show is the animation. It looks absolutely great in places. The art was really strong.

I thought the rest of it was merely okay. The show dives pretty bad when Zenitsu is on screen. And I don't really get the point of attempting to humanize the badguys after showing them to be utter, utter gooseberry fools. 'He's a horrible gooseberry fool because he had parent issues'. That doesn't make him anymore likable!

Well, with how it started and how it’s going so far I really don’t expect many to make it out

Seen on Wikipedia that there’s a second series of this though? Presume it’s a completely different setting/characters as I don’t see how there can be more than one series with the way the current storyline is heading!

Yes, I haven't seen the second season myself, but it's a new story and cast of characters. It's set in Japan, if I remember correctly.

Ted Lasso - 10/10

Loved every minute. It was nice to see some funny, heartwarming TV for a change. You could see Bill Lawrence's influence throughout but at the same time it almost reminded me of some of the sitcoms I used to watch as a child during the late 1980's and early 1990's. I also can't recall the last comedy I watched about football which you would think is an easy target. Maybe Renford Rejects?

Lovecraft Country episode 9 is up there as one of the best hours of TV I've ever seen.

Tehran - 7/10
Seems like I'm giving everything a 7 these days! This is on appletv and it's about an Israeli spy in Tehran. It's only 8 eps, so it's quick to get through. A lot better than I expected tbh; the story is fairly unpredictable and it really scratches that Homeland / 24 itch. Also, a 2nd season has been confirmed.
