I find it a series of cheap, escalating shocks and little else.

…I hadn’t actually thought of it like it. If you’ve ruined it for me if/when I ever rewatch it, I won’t be pleased.

I only got through to season three or four in fairness but I've never heard the later seasons really change their tone.

I'll probably get around to it one day, once I'm done watching infinity billion episodes of Star Trek

Community. Fantastic, I loved every season of it. The cast and their replacements throughout were awesome and worked so well together. I can’t believe I waited so long (as with parks and rec) to watch this.

I’ve been rewatching Sex Education again with series 3 coming out tomorrow. It really is a fantastic series and probably my favourite one I’ve watched on Netflix. Just finished series 1 so still series 2 to go before I can enjoy the third.

Edit, series 3 is out on the 17th, not the 16th.

Didn't realise Sex Education was so close. Is a good month for Netflix with Money Heist, Sex Education and then Midnight Mass next week.

Then again, it might indeed be next week after all.

Still, no point in us debating it as...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine's eighth season was a bit ropey in places, but the finale was brilliant.

Vigil - what a load of shite. For such a big headline show, it looks cheap as strawberry float. It's meant to be set on a submarine, but you'd think the producers have never actually seen inside a sub - massive open rooms, high ceilings, acres of space

I gave it 1 episode and just couldn't stand it, Crimson Tide has ruined anything else set on a sub for me. Bloody Alabama :x

I’ve been watching this as well and it’s really not realistic (and I say that without even having seen inside an actual submarine ), the ‘whodunit’ plot is just getting more outlandish 4 episodes in as well :fp:

I like Vigil. Sure it's not realistic but it's fiction. If I wanted realism I'd watch a documentary.

Current theory for the murderer:

Burke was murdered by the Cook and the Cook was then murdered by the Russian spy. Russians promised to free the cook's son from jail if she did the murder and the point of the murder was that the crew would need a replacement sent to the submarine. The spy is the replacement who appeared in the first episode and only ever appears for the captain to complain how terrible he is at his job. Russians murdered the girlfriend as a red herring.

I’ve been enjoying it but they just seem to be trying to one up the plot as each episode goes on, no idea where it might actually end up to be honest

Doom Patrol: Season 1 - 5/10

I should have probably liked this way more than i actually did, maybe i'm just no longer in the mood for comic book characters, but this wasn't a patch on Stargirl.

Didn't really like the characters that much, Jane was probably my least favourite what with all the angsty stuff going on, while i just found Rita and the bandage guy a bit dull. Robot Man was decent, and Cyborg was alright, but some some episodes just felt a bit too long, and the story probably would have been better had it been condensed into less episodes with shorter run times. Mr Nobody wasn't a great villain either, not much in the way of menace, and there was a bit too much fourth wall breaking for my liking.

That said, the show did have some great moments, (the butts are loose etc), but for me, there wasn't enough good stuff amongst the long running time to justify me pushing ahead with watching season 2.
