I don't have any interest in MMA but heard this show was good and it's leaving Netlfix at the end of the month, so I gave it a try.
Very good actually! Gives me strong The Shield vibes, even though it's not really like that show at all, it's just gritty and the characters are dicks but you root for them anyway.

Will go straight on to season 2...

Its a great show. Jonathan Tucker is amazingly good in it. Glad it got a proper ending too.

There is some talk that it may be brought back.

The latest episode of Line of Duty was bananas. Really want to see next episode.

Have finished Series 5 of Line of Duty amd started series 6. But it looks like a bunch of twats (i.e. everyone) are putting spoilers on Twitter which I gather to be a bit mental. I just muscle memory go to spoil it and bang, there's a picture spoiler. Seriously not even text!

I've only seen series 2, which was excellent, then we started watching s3 and got about 4 episodes in before dropping it.

After starting weeks ago have now caught up to Sunday's episode. What an episode, am I right?

I agree series 5 isn't exactly the strongest series

The whole undercover premise was a good one, though I did think it was perhaps a bit over the top sometimes 'I just want to meet the top guy'- yeh not suspicious at all. The issue is obviously that Hastings is supposed to be this morally unapproachable police officer, so if he was bent, everything before hand has been incredibly poorly written, but he wasn't so it was just basically just a attempt at rerunning series 3, but done a bit shitter.

My biggest problem with season 5 was that Hastings was acting out of character just so the audience would find him suspicious. There was no logical in-character reasons for his actions.

Me and the missus did Line of Duty from scratch over the last few months, and forgive me if I missed something but Hastings being H is still on the cards no? He wasn't exonerated at the end of series 5 right? Just the attention was deflected.

I'm quite liking S6 so far but mainly because Kelly MacDonald... :datass:

Information not shown in the show spoilers: Adrian Dunbar has been telling the media that he was happy when Jed Mercurio told him he was not H.

The only thing he's interested in is catching bent coppers. If Hastings is H/the 4th man, it will be the worst piece of writing of all time. The very definition of a twist for twist's sake.

Exactly. I'd buy Steve or Kate being H over Hastings and those would both be awful twists too.

6x04- Definitely got the implication though in the "interview" scene with Lakewell that he'd told Steve some information off camera.

Well... Yea... But he would say that. That's his... brand?

I'm not saying it would be the best writing ever but... it would be a better built sUbVeRvSIoN of eXpEcTATiOns than most other shows.

All I know is Hastings will do his duty to the letter of the law. The letter!

Line of Duty theory:

That's going to end up being the "clue" isn't it. He keeps saying "letter of the law" and we are looking for the letter H.

The.... 8th letter?

:shifty:

(Of the alphabet I mean. 'The Law' only has 6 letters and so it doesn't work).

Ted Lasso - 10/10

Wish I’d watched this earlier because it would have been great to go back to in the more trying times of the last 6 months. Unbelievably wholesome TV. Like a big warm hug for your heart

Just got one episode of Line of Duty series 3 left to go (I’ll be watching it tomorrow), series 3 has been great so far.

Edit, Series 3 finale was superb.

The most damning thing about the British police force is that Buckells managed to get to DSI as he's quite clearly a strawberry floating idiot.

The Series 3 finale was probably peak Line of Duty for me. I still can't believe that an episode of television which has something like 40+ minutes of a few people just sat around a table talking can be so incredibly tense and gripping.
