As I said series one is the weakest but still fantastic. It's just 4 series long and actually has an ending unlike many Sci-Fi shows that just get cancelled and they slap together some shitty explanation about 3 days before filming the last episode :fp: .

Will you step into the red forest?

I’ll give it a go when the final season is up on Netflix.

Better Call Saul - Series 4 (Netflix)

I was a fan of Breaking Bad and, for me, this spin-off is almost on a par. I feel that this latest series perhaps wasn't quite as enthralling as the previous ones, but this is mainly due to the high standards set before. It was still great entertainment and it kept me interested all the way through.

8/10

Russian Doll (Netflix)

At first this just didn't grab me; I found it a little sweary, a tad too edgy... starting the second episode, I was thinking of quitting it. But that would have been a big mistake. From that point onwards I got it; the premise clicked with me and I was eager to discover more. Surprisingly good.

8/10

This was my thought exactly (and I also found the main character to be extremely unlikable) and I didn't get as far as the second episode. Is there a tonal shift in subsequent episodes or do these 'failings' become more palatable due to context? I've heard nothing but excellent reviews of it but couldn't bring myself to persevere.

The sweary talk by the main character doesn't really change and there are still those "trying a bit too hard to be cool" moments... but the storyline does get a lot more interesting and - without spoiling stuff - decent new characters appear.

Based upon those first one-and-a-half-or-so episodes I probably would have gone with 2/10 but, having watched the series through to the end, I feel comfortable with saying that it surprised me and I'd give it 8/10. I was really keen to see how things panned out across those final five episodes.

The Vietnam War - 9/10

It took me a long time to get through this, but it's probably one of the best documentaries I've seen. I was very ignorant about Vietnam (hence me watching this) but seeing this put a lot of context to moments and events that I was only vaguely aware of, and filled in a lot of gaps in my knowledge.
Not really an 'entertaining' thing to watch, but very interesting and informative, as well as being quite sad at times.

I just finished the series after buying the series 4 blue ray and watching again from the start and after a week of pretty solid watching (I've been on holiday) it's over and I have zero regrets  .

Anyone with even a passing interest in Sci-Fi should watch this as it's strawberry floating amazing with some truly great characters and an emotionally powerful story about trying to stop the end of the world via time travel. Why the Sci-Fi channel didn't market the pants of this I have no idea as (I don't say this lightly) it really is up there with Star Trek: TNG and Battlestar Gallactica in quality. Have a look at the Reddit to see what people think.

Easy 10/10 and I say again if you've never considered it or not heard of it please give it a chance (Season 1-3 are on Netflix) as you honestly won't regret it.

Ive just started this, wholly on your recommendation. S1E1 was good. Dont let me down Peter, we're routing for you.

The first season is the weakest so if you like it already I think you'll love seasons 2,3 and 4 :D .

Katarina Jones really does start to shine in later series as does Jennifer Goins.

It really is a rather well hidden gem of a show  .

The Sopranos

Devastated that it's over .

Will probably make a tradition of watching it through every 4-5 years or something .

Yeah, Netflix. It's 16.5 hours long, split into 10 episodes.

I know it's super-old news, but... The Big Bang Theory is pretty neat. I've only ever seen short clips before and, watching series 1 on Netflix, it's good fun.

Edit: Except for the wildly loud canned laughter, of course.

Think it's better with Tidus. BBT is SHITE.

Yep, that clip is infinitely funnier thanks to the involvement of Tidus.

Like many US sitcoms BBT has about enough humour to produce maybe one or two episodes of decent enough TV, they then stretch that out across about 10 years and somehow people still keep tuning in.
