It's undoubtedly the most consistently excellent over the years.
The people working in that hospital would all end up dead from overwork and ptsd soon after the end though
I seem to remember helicopter crashes being fairly common and being taken hostage a lot which must get rather tiresome .

Nah, it fell off a bit of a cliff once Doug and Carol left and they kept trying to throw characters together to repeat that specific arc and recapture that couple. Luka and Carol, Luka and Abby, addict Carter and Abby, Luka and Sam etc.

Fell off an even bigger cliff once Mark died and it started moving towards the massive event episodes and the pretty bad arc set in the Congo.

If you haven't seen it, I recommend Seven Deadly Sins, its great although the main character is a massive perv.

I loved the whole show, but damn, Part 5 was pretty strawberry floating amazing. Still processing certain parts of it. Really happy with how it ended. That Armstrong meets Curtis moment was the most manly thing I have ever seen

I have Seven Deadly Sins on my watch list.

Not so much a series, but BBC's three part drama "Dracula".

Watched ep1 and wasn't impressed. Looks great and everything and I liked the effects, but putting a modern day vocabulary on the count doesn't work at all. In fact it made it feel like an episode of Doctor Who. I almost half expected The Doctor to turn up and vanquish Dracula with a series of sarcastic quips and his sonic screwdriver.

Don't think I'll bother with the next two.

I really enjoyed the first episode. Though it was well done, but it's very obviously a Moffat/Gattis production and their particular quirks are everywhere.

Second episode I really enjoyed as well, and I liked the more confined quarters the story was based in, but then the very last scene utterly ruined it. I literally told the TV to strawberry float off and groaned when it became apparent where it was going. I'll still watch the third episode as I'm hopeful it will still be enjoyable, but I really wish they'd done something different.

EDIT: I should add that the Resetera thread about this had almost the exact opposite reaction to me. They all seemed to love the ending of episode 2.

With Gattis being a horror nut with love of the classics (as I am) I thought I was in for a proper gothic/Hammer Horror re-telling and the opening sequence pointed to that, but as it went on Moffat's writing style came through far too much. As I say, it felt more like an episode of Doctor Who. I understand that it's not uncommon these days to put modern vocabulary in TV dramas set in times past so as to attract a younger audience (I'm guessing that's the reason?), but here it just didn't work for me. It just made it feel too cheesy to the point that I found myself cringing every time Dracula opened his mouth.

I know what you mean about it feeling like a Doctor Who episode at times.

I do like the guy playing Dracula and I do like his slightly wittier take on it, but I do think the more modern dialog could have been toned back a little.

If you didn't enjoy the first one then you should probably skip the rest to be honest.

His Dark Materials – Season 1 – 7.5/10

I am a massive fan of the books and this first season was a big improvement on the crappy Golden Compass movie that came out a few years ago.

It’s not perfect though, the budget constraints are obvious but it is probably as close to the books as we are ever likely to get.

It will be interesting to see how they cope with the later books. I assume they won’t give a gooseberry fool about the anti-religion side of things, but if they are struggling to keep daemons on screen, they are strawberry floated when it comes to some of the later stuff.

Thought first two episodes of Dracula were great, really liked them. Wasn't a fan of how episode two ended and yeah, that third episode ended up being terrible. Is a shame, but can always just watch the first two and leave it at that without missing much.

I haven't seen the third one yet. But man, the ending for episode two was iffy.

Kinda reminded me of the ending in Castlevania Lords of Shadow (I mean, the supposed time jump).

DC's Legends of Tomorrow S3 - 7/10

Its cheesy as hell and mostly badly acted (as are the other CW Arrowverse shows) but there's something about it that keeps me watching it (other than Caity Lotz ).

The finale was suitably ridiculous too.

The Witcher - 7/10

A solid, enjoyable first season. I thought most of the casting was good with Henry Cavill a surprisingly good Geralt. There was some inconsistency in the episodes with some better and more memorable than others and at times establishing what events were happening at what point in the timeline was a bit confusing. Definitely a strong foundation to build from for season 2 though.

Expanse S4

A step up from the later half of S3, but still overwrought. Other than "new worlds are scary and people suck" there wasn't much to say, and the message ended up repeated so often over 10 episodes it might has well have been a neon sign.

The Ashford/Drummer stuff was good (great chemistry between two very different characters) and the Earth stuff was quite dull. Even Avasvala couldn't save it. 

The aspect ration changes got really annoying/jarring.

I thought the Avasarala parts had the most interesting theme - if you believe you're right about something, how far is it okay to go to see it through? The show tries to make us think that Avasarala is right about the new worlds being too dangerous to explore, but we don't know that for certain just as she doesn't, and her husband challenges her increasingly questionable methods of getting her way.

Ashford and Drummer were probably my favourite characters to spend time with. I also enjoyed the earlier half of the crew being between both opposing sides on the planet - it felt a lot like an RPG quest setup where you can choose who to side with!
