I've never seen or heard of The Outsiders, but are Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe and Matt Dillon all on the cast list?

Yep. And it was directed by Frances Ford Coppola.

Bloody hell. Ralph Macchio and Tom Waits as well, hell of a stacked production.

Series 1 & 2 of Inside No. 9

Absolutely loving it so far and can't wait to start series 3 this evening.

Favourite episodes? I'd pick out three in particular at this point:

1. The 12 Days Of Christine (S2E2)
2. Tom & Gerri (S1E3)
3. Cold Comfort (S2E4)

12 Days of Christine still haunts me.

It's a great film, everyone should see it.

WW2 in Colour (Netflix) - 9/10

Very good, but knocked a point off as they did re-use some stock footage and sound effects a few times throughout the series which I feel like could have been avoided. They also didn't talk about how Hitler escaped to his moon base and instead went along with the debunked "he killed himself" tripe

Bojack Horseman S6 - 9/10

I can't believe how a show with such a ridiculous premise can manage to be so deep and insightful into human nature and celebrity culture, its also incredibly dark at times.

A very fitting ending to the whole thing although I feel that the final episode was added at the last minute to soften the impact Bojack actually dying would have had.

I'm very glad to have given it a chance as its brilliant.

The Witcher.

This was pretty disappointing unfortunately. Great central character and performance, but everything around that is a jumbled mess, tonally it's absolutely all over the place. By the end I'd almost stopped caring.

5/10

Also, The Expanse S2 which was great and a huge step up from the first season. 8/10

I genuinely haven't been able to bring myself to watch the last batch of episodes. It's so good that I don't want it to end, but also I can't take the emotional stress of what the ride is going to be like, particularly after the cliff hanger ending to the last episode.

Manhunt: Unabomber - 8.5/10

The first episode got on my nerves as it jumped between 1995 and 1997. Just tell a linear story you twats.

However, once it stopped irritating me, I really enjoyed it. I didn’t know much about the unibomber, other than the name and the famous sketch. They actually made him quite a sympathetic character, he’s bloody right about traffic lights. :x

And who knew Sam Worthington was actually a decent actor?

The second half of the final season is indeed an emotional rollercoaster but it nicely ends most of the characters story arcs.

Still wish there was more though.

Made a start on this now, watched the first two episodes of the second half. It's just fantastic television!

Really feels like there's at least one last dark pit on the horizon for Bojack. :dread:

I thought the penultimate episode was fantastic, in particular I thought the poem was really powerful.

I am not OK with this - 7/10

Felt like a low budget Stranger Things, only with older teens and far more swearing and cynicism. Also with added anachronisms (set in present day but full of 80's music, cars and tech).

I did enjoy it and I think the shorter runtime (7eps at roughly 25mins each) definitely works in its favour as there was less filler (Stranger Things take note) and it leaves you wanting to see what happens next.

I pretty much agree with that. It’s a nice little series that doesn’t outstay its welcome and leaves you wanting more.

It’s got that weird “timeless” Netflix thing going on though. It’s modern day while also seems like it’s set in the 70s/80s.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 5

Oh man, Glory was even shitter than I remembered. No sense of threat at all, despite characters constantly reminding us that she's invincible and then she does nothing all season except sit in a fancy apartment, whining worse than Faith. And Xander is such a prick. Best thing about the season was The Body which is one of the best episodes of the entire franchise.

First two seasons are definitely the best overall by a fair margin.

McDonald and Dodds. A new detective programme from ITV.

It's basically Columbo but set in Bath, and everyone inexplicably sounds like they're from Cornwall. 4/10.

Just started Sex Education. A few episodes in and it's quite good. Seems the second season consensus is that it's a steaming bucket of horse wank.

I don't think that was the consensus on this forum, we all seemed to enjoy it as much or more than the first season.

I'd say "Gillian Anderson :datass: " but I worry you'll tell me she was ropey in the 90s. ;)

The consensus here is that the second season is pretty good, isn't it? :shifty:

It's really good. The end, though :dread:
