But he isn't really a hallucination

If Mad Men wasn't leaving Netflix so soon I might've rewatched the earlier seasons to harvest some gifs. One of the all-time best was from season 7 though.

Mr Robot 1x01- Okay but if Christian Slater's character is a hallucination, I'm never watching this show again. That trope has been done to death.

We guessed it about 3 episodes in and thought it was so tired and obvious that it wouldn't be right, so needless to say we gave up on it after one series

Dear lord. It was tired when Dexter did it. Dexter.

Space Force on netflix. Light farce. Needs some serious work if it returns for a second season. OK. 5/10

I'm watching this. It seems better than the critical reviews i have spotted so far. I have only watched the first two episodes, but i did enjoy the lunacy of the monkey and dog (and the resulting fall out). Even as i type that i can see how light weight the program is mind

Also watching Gangs of London. Which i am hating. They are all just horrible people that i cant get behind or empathize with on any level. And the violence is cartoonish and pornographic at the same time. I'm no prude when it comes to violence on TV, but its jarringly stupid at times. So a tentative 3/10 for that.

It does have its moments. As a whole for me it did seem a bit light on the laughs. Steve Carell is good - sometimes hes Micheal Scott, but then its as though he remembers hes a 5 star general and slips into Evan Almighty. Malkovich is a good actor, but generally I think his comedy is off. The rest of the cast need more time to grow and dont really have as much fun as they should do for a comedy. Lisa Kudrow is underused - not sure what they did with her.

Sunderland 'Til I Die

Really enjoyed this. So interesting to get a glimpse behind the scenes, particularly where it isn't just about one superstar player or a season of glory.

What a lovely, atypical footballer Jonny Williams comes across as  .

On the flip side, what an awful, rotten, red dog prick Lewis Grabban is. Yuck!

Looking forward to series 2, even though I already know how it plays out!

Wait until season 3 when it's just a series of Zoom calls.

I really should get around to watching that, but it's a tough sell to the missus.

You can imagine my disappointment when they completely skipped over one of the very rare victories (1-0 v Forest away), especially when they then go on to make such a big deal of the 4-1 against us  :x.

Shame to learn they've not done a third series, although beyond a bit of novelty when this all kicked off, it probably would have been a mostly boring and ultimately underwhelming ending.

Trust me, it’s been anything but boring this season.

Should have been down the SoL with your camera then, shouldn't you!

Is there a reason they decided not to film this season?

The producer has been quoted as saying ‘there hadn’t been a seismic change’ in terms of promotion, relegation or a takeover. But to me it’d still be oddly compelling - like a car accident.

Gangs of London - 8/10
With Gareth Evans involved I had to give this a go. Shame he doesn't direct every episode but the other directors do well to match his style. It is over the top and unrealistic, but good fun if you don't mind the violence.

Strangers From Hell - 8/10
I love South Korean thrillers and this is basically a decent thriller stretched over 10 episodes. There are enough twists and turns to keep each episode interesting. It's very dark but not too gory or scary.

Im watching Cheers on C4 mornings as it rattles through the seasons. S7. In the main there are still some good gags and one liners in there. But the amount of creepy sex pesting going on - it really must have been "of its time", many aspects of the show have aged badly. S7, the last show is an advert for the #me too movement should have started in the 80s right there.

I'm not really into superhero shows but this is a great take on it. Short season and every episode pushes the plot forward. Can't wait for season 2!

It's still good but it's getting tired.

Sunderland 'Til I Die - Season 1 - 8/10

Enjoyed this a lot. Great insight into what goes on at a club and how it works.
A few thoughts:

- Sunderland, as a city, seems like a monumentally depressing place.
- Jonny Williams is really likeable
- Darren Gibson seems like a dick.
- Lewis Grabban seems like a dick (and I have no recollection of him going on loan to Villa  )
- Some of the fans are just... :dread: (I'm sure all clubs have some like that)
- Chris Coleman and Martin Bain both came across well, Coleman in particular.

Looking forward to watching season 2.

People Just Do Nothing 5

strawberry float, I love this show so much. It's one of the funniest comedies I can think of recently. There was a conversation in this season about an orange and it was so ridiculous but sounded exactly like the kind of conversations I've heard from stoners in real life. And Chabuddy G is just incredible all the time.

What We Do In The Shadows: S2 - 9/10

Thought this was better than the first season. Just silly fun from start to end.
