Not watched ‘Death to 2020’ yet (I do plan to, despite the poor thoughts and reviews ) but having just watched ‘Hated in the Nation’ episode of Black Mirror, I’m guessing that the death to hashtag from that episode may have inspired the name of the new programme from Charlie Brooker.

Hated in the Nation is a bloody fantastic episode of Black Mirror too.

Hated in the Nation did not help with my bee phobia, not at all.

Bridgerton - 'Pride & Prejudice meets Gossip Girl' / 10

For what it is (period drama with more sex than usual) this was pretty entertaining. Dubious, borderline rape scene notwithstanding

I really don't get why programme makers add this sort of stuff to their shows, I can only guess that it's a means of generating headlines or something.

It was in the book that the show is adapted from apparently (in a slightly different form I understand) but yeah, why they didn't go "hold on, maybe we should change this during our adaptation?" is beyond me.

It really is superb, I’m finding I’m enjoying the majority of the episodes more second time through as well as you pick up on all sorts of little bits of foreshadowing throughout the episodes.

Just watched the Hang the DJ ep of Black Mirror which was excellent but I was wracking my brain trying to think where I'd seen the guy who'd played Frank before. Looking at Wikipedia, turns out I went to school with him.

EDIT: I was also apparently at the same university at the same time as the lead actress. Don't think I ever met her though.

Band of Brothers - 10/10

I'd never gotten around to watching this and took it slowly, rather than my usual TV binge watching.

Amazing show.

The concentration camp episode is strawberry floating grim.

I watched The Boys S1 and 2. Show is pretty good, but at the same time, I kinda feel like it is never truly amazing. S1 was better than 2.

It was, but at the same time I couldn't help thinking it was very sanitised for the TV audience. I can't comprehend just how awful it must have been to actually enter one of those camps.

Yeah it's on my list to watch. I'm taking a short break from the misery of war though!

They are also shooting another show ‘masters of the air’ for Apple TV. Same people behind that as band of brothers and the pacific.

Bridgerton was not my jam. At all.

Below Deck Seasons 2-7 - 7/10

Entertaining show about the crew that run privately chartered cruise ships. Turn off your brain and enjoy.

Bridgerton wasn't exactly my jam either, but it was the wife's choice and I have to admit to finding it better than expected over the course of the whole thing.

The Mandalorian Season 1- 7/10
The Mandalorian Season 2- 5/10

I watched three episodes of season 1 months ago and abandoned it because I was bored. Picked it up again over Xmas and all goodwill the later eps of season 1 earned were burned with season 2. Season 1 mostly stayed Star Wars adjacent which I appreciated but then they went overboard with awful awful original trilogy fanservice in season 2. The longer it went on the more I got flashbacks of Rogue One. Less said about the final scene the better.
