The Luminaries (limited series) - 3/10
Think we've consigned this to the bin after 2 eps. Production and cast wise it was great, but story wise it was all over the place and too hard to engage with.

Peaky Blinders (Season 6) 5/10; finale 8/10
Most of the season was mired in death, grief and superstition, but I enjoyed the finale quite a bit. The spiritual death of Tommy Shelby was a good way for the show to bow out.

Riot Police (limited series) - 7/10
Spanish drama about Internal Affairs investigating a case involving riot police (funnily enough!). It starts slow but picks up from episode 3, when it gets into the meat of the story. Pretty decent; good if you're looking a short watch (6 eps). It's on Disney+.

Monsters At Work - 8/10 - for a Monsters Inc series, not to bad, was pretty enjoyable throughout.

I haven't really been keeping up with any of the superhero shows from either of DC or Marvel, but gave this a go after catching Peacemaker and enjoying it.

Probably one of the weirdest shows I've ever seen, in a good way. The craziness was entertaining but it was balanced with some really great character moments which kept me invested. Best karaoke scene since the Leftovers too.

Looking forward to the next two seasons.

I watched this, and by the end i hated it.

I particularly disliked the woman with all those personalities, such an unlikable character.

I just finished series 3 (seemingly the final series) of Final Space and it was excellent.

Anyone who enjoys sci-fi will like this as it has a solid story and great characters.
The show is funny but with some rather emotional moments.

I started watching as the trailer looked bloody amazing on my new tablet but it really is worth watching just for the sheer joy of the story.
It's a huge shame that it got cancelled due to cost cutting as the company that makes it is merging with another company as it finishes on a really solid cliffhanger.

I thoroughly enjoyed the ride and hope somebody saves the show.
10/10.

I think I've given up a few episodes into Good Omens because it's too frustratingly inferior to the book.

Halo 5/10

I'm not sure which books the writers read but I suspect they weren't from the Halo series. They could have removed 99% of the Kwan storyline and it wouldn't have altered a thing.

Atlanta S3 - 6/10

Pretty disappointing tbh. I wonder if the main cast's vastly reduced screentime is a consequence of them all becoming bigger stars since the show started.

Murder Among the Mormons (limited series documentary - Netflix) More than worth watching if you're into your crime. Guy responsible for the deaths comes off as a genius and psychopath. Kind of scary to think about.

Yes, I hope someone does pick it up, I enjoyed the story more than the humour, especially as anything involving Tribor is aimed at 13 year old boys and distracts from quite a lot of the emotion.

However some of the other jokes do land from time to time.

I totally agree that Tribor is the worst character by miles.
He really doesn't add anything other than as an easy way for the writers to get out of sticky situation by bringing him in with his stupid catchphrases and magically save the day and his dialogue gets old pretty quickly.
Even Mooncake has better dialogue and all he says is "Chickety!!!!!!!!!!!!!" but at least it's got all sorts of emotion going on somehow rather than just "Look at me I'm being all edgy and cool".

The only downside to an otherwise excellent show that I hope gets saved so they can finish the story.

Hawkeye (limited series) - 8/10
I've never had much love for the Hawkeye character, but have to admit I really enjoyed this! The two protagonists were a good double act and I liked the cameos. The only real disappointment for me was the last episode; just felt overly hokey and ridiculous.

Better Call Saul (Season 6, Part 1) - 9/10
Excellent, top quality TV! It has went from strength to strength each season. Looking forward to part 2, just wish the season hadn't been split. Also, really, really could have done with a recap at the start of this season. Had to go hunting on YouTube for one after first 5 mins!

Euphoria S1 - 9/10

Really enjoyed this even though it made me feel ancient. I don't know how accurately this depicts the typical experience of the average American teen (probably not much, I'd have thought) but it looks like like an absolute hellscape. Makes me appreciate having grown up in comparatively simpler times.

Pistol

8.5/10

I really enjoyed this. Excellent drama documenting the rise and fall of Sex Pistols directed by Danny Boyle.

Inside no.9 S7 - 7/10

I really like the LoG guys but I found this series a little bit patchy, much like I did with the last one. Good but not great. Was good to see the three of them re-united for the first episode. I hope they go back to doing an ongoing, Psychoville-style project next.

Star Wars The Clone Wars 1

I enjoyed it but there were a lot of very samey episodes with prolonged space battle and not much story progression. I understand it gets better and better though so I'm looking forward to sticking with it.

It’s been renewed for two more seasons! I feel the last three seasons that have come after the live Halloween episode have all been relatively weak compared to S1-S4 but there’s usually at least one great episode each year, which I’m fine with.

Borgen S4 9/10

Still compelling, still brilliant acting but I think the plot and characters went a bit awry towards the end. But I love Borgen so

Stranger Things Season 3 - 6/10

I was persuaded to give this another try after being disappointed by series 2. I'm half way through and not really feeling it. If I wasn't watching it with someone else I probably wouldn't bother. I mean, it's fine and all and not bad (hence a 6 rather than a lower score) but I can't seem to get into it.

Series 3 does end really strongly. I'd recommend trying to see it through if you can.
