Making A Murderer S2

It's obviously a fascinating story, but this time did not translate to thrilling TV. I guess with a real life documentary you can only present the events as they actually happen, but the content included here could have been shown in two episodes. Instead it's stretched to the point of utter tedium as we learn things like Steven Avery's parents are old and might die.

5/10

Haunting of Hill House 9/10

The first 6 episodes are really disturbing, eerie stuff. I liked the last episode. I thought it was a good ending.

I’ve heard people raving about LoD and noticed it was on Netflix. I assume the later series get better because I didn’t think this was great. Good but not great.

I enjoyed Morgan playing What’s the time Mr Wolf though.

I've been rewatching all four series and I liked series 1 a lot, but it definitely steps up a gear from S2 onwards. It's one of those few shows where you genuinely don't know where it will go next.

I have just started series 4, but you are right, series 2 and 3 really ramped things up. The last episode of series 3 was fantastic.

Series 1 – 6.5/10
Series 2 – 8/10
Series 3 – 9/10

My only issue was Neil Morrissey. It’s not that he was bad in the show, I just can’t see him as anything other than the bloke from Men Behaving Badly that stole Les Dennis’ wife.

I am hoping series 4 keeps up the quality.

Breaking Bad - 10/10

Not much to say here that probably hasn't been said before by somebody. Excellent in every respect.
Couple of silly moments, but over 5 seasons, that's pretty much all I can criticise it for, which is damn good going.

Norsemen - 6/10

This isn’t a bad show but the humour is a little too obvious and falls flat too often.

Breaking Bad 10/10

I'm a few years too late to the party but holy strawberry float this was straight poetry, just brilliant in every way
I guess some stuff in season 3 was a bit dumb but whatever it doesn't overly detract.

This is one of three shows I give a 10, meaning I like this show as much as i like Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop, which from me is no small accolade.

I've not really seen much of it but the few episodes I've seen (on Dave) have been fairly good.

Might have to watch more now.

Westworld Season 2

7/10

Incredibly complicated at times, but with some excellent moments.

Community Series 1-6 9/10

I've been watching these through with my sister (her 4/5th watch through) over the last few months and finished off the Saturday before Christmas.

Really enjoyed it, and thought the character design and evolvement was really good. Season 6 was notably weaker though.

The episode/bit where I laughed the hardest was when

in the episode where they start off the darkest timeline, the scenario which leads to the darkest timeline.
It was so unexpected.

Ash vs Evil Dead - Season 1 - 8/10

Stupid, over the top, poorly acted, nonsensical and just outright daft.

I loved it.

Travelers S1 and S2 (+S3E01). Very good. 10/10. I think its been renewed for S4 (?), and i really hope there is a plan to properly end this and it doent just fizzle out or gets cancelled on a cliff hanger, because it deserves so much more.

Black Lightning S1E01-S1E05. The script, the acting, the pacing, the editing is all off. 3/10 - I only really would watch more to see how it plays out, but i wouldnt be too bothered to just stop.

I just finished series 3 of Travelers and it gets even better.
Some great twists and well worth a watch.

The Last Kingdom Season 3

It remains a bit silly in places, but this is probably the best this show has been so far. Loads of backstabbing, double-crossing and plotting, reminds me a bit of Spartacus sometimes. Gutted with a couple of deaths this year as they've killed off some of my favourite characters, but this has been a thoroughly entertaining series from an increasingly impressive show.

8/10

One of my favourite comedy shows of recent years, absolutely love me some Community! :toot:

I agree that the character side of the show is one of its strongest elements (particularly in the first couple of seasons) - they really develop the characters really well and everyone is shown to have believable flaws and weaknesses. Most of my favourite episodes are the ones that focus on the interactions and relationships between the 7 core characters

Shame you didn't get on as well with Season 6, I really liked that a lot as it re-grounded the show a bit from some of the sillier moments which had started to get out of hand as the show progressed.

Just holding out for the movie now and the hashtag campaign will be complete.

Seasons 1 and 2 are golden, everything after was a hot mess (exception being 6 which I was too burned to watch). However much I loved the paintball episode, it was very much the beginning of the end.

Do you mean the paintball two-parter in season two? The first paintball episode is in season one and I think season two is by far the best of the show.

Season three isn't on the same level as the first two but it has its fair share of good episodes. Remedial Chaos Theory, the one where Dean is filming an advert for the college and the episode where they play Pierce's dad's computer game are all good.

I enjoyed Community greatly, though I don't remember many of its episodes. I remember the paintball episode where Jeff finally nails Britta, the terrible animated Christmas one and that's about it.
