The Good Place series 1

This programme is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and is almost totally stupid, designed to appeal to idiots.

Looking forward to series 2 (how on earth are there 4 of them?!). I'm going to binge watch the gooseberry fool out of it.

The Good Place is one of the most intelligently written shows off the past 10 years. It's a philosophy course dressed up as a goofy comedy.

And it is excellent.

Love a bit of the Good Place. It lost its way a little around season 3, but it was never less than good and has definitely picked up again.

Just finished rewatching all of Bojack Horseman S1-5 ready to start the new stuff, still quite possibly the best thing on TV at the moment - I'd say only Better Call Saul gives it a run for its money.

Genuinely sad that this is coming to an end soon and I'm not altogether sure how I'm going to cope with how this is going to reach a conclusion. Normal TV rules would suggest that some form of redemption would be in store for Bojack but I can't see them doing anything so trite, it's going to be an absolute gut wrencher I can tell...

Fear The Walking Dead - Season 3

Watched 8 episodes so far as it's as absorbing as ever, just seen the indians take delivery of a severed head.

The Sopranos – 7.5/10

After Oblomov kept badgering me, I finally watched this series.

It’s a good show, but I think it is a long way from greatness. It’s certainly nowhere near shows like Breaking Bad.

I think one of the problems are the irritating dickheads that infest the show. The daughter (fit as strawberry float :datass: ) for the first few seasons is whiney. The son spends the entire show being an annoying whiney little arsehole. T’s mum is annoying. Paulie flips between funny, scary and just plain annoying. Christopher was a whiny little bitch. Etc etc. That might be a realistic portrayal of how people are, but 80 odd hours of it grinds.

Tony himself (while a total strawberry floating evil twat) was great, Junior was good until he developed dementia and Silvio was fantastic - Silv's mouth shape alone fascinated me.

The show also seemed to introduce plotlines that went nowhere. The therapist getting raped for instance, what the strawberry float was that in the show for? She later sees her attacker was “employee of the month” in a shop which was clearly leading to Tony taking care of it for her. But nope, it was never mentioned again.

Paulie and Christopher were coming to blows, that was going to lead to a major confrontation! But nope, just Paulie driving over Christopher’s lawn and then Christopher dies in a car accident/Tony murder. Huh?

The strawberry floating dream sequences also annoyed the gooseberry fool out of me. Tony gets ill and dreams of talking fish? Tony gets shot and spends 2 episodes wandering around with Buddhists.

Bobby’s death was strawberry floating ridiculous. Getting killed in a model train shop was fine, but did it really need the “comedy” screams while the camera pans to plastic figures?

I had already heard what the ending of the show was but it was far more abrupt than I was expecting! Meadow can’t park, odd assassin looking guy and CUT! I actually didn’t mind the ending though, it was better to keep people guessing than just showing Tony get shot/arrested/walk free.

All of that sounds overly harsh, I did enjoy it, but it is nowhere near the best TV I have ever seen.

I had to watch it quickly (I started watching weeks ago though!) as NowTV was telling me that it would be removed in December and that season 4 was being removed in November. So I was watching 2 episodes a day trying to finish it before it was taken down, although last night I noticed the removal dates have been taken away.

I don’t care if you reject my score, the strawberry floating dream sequencies :dread: this isn’t the strawberry floating Bradford score you know. Whaddya gonna do?

Moggy is correct, Sopranos can't hold a candle to true top tier television like Breaking Bad or Danny Dyer's The Wall.

Everyone knows Jenuall is straight out of the loony bin.

However, you can't run through a list of annoying characters and not even mention the name Janice.

Moggy is fake news!

If there is one thing I can't stand it's crazy people. You'll be heading for two hours of WOO if you carry on like that Oblo. ;)

I think I had wiped her from my mind. Yeah she was massively annoying.

Hmm, Sopranos started in early 1999, so was filmed in 1998. The actress was born in 1981, so would have been 17 when filming the first season.

So she was hot as strawberry float from the opening episode.

I had no idea  always assumed she was much younger than that.
