Damn, if you loved season 1 you're in for a real treat going forwards.

This was amazing  Wish I'd watched it sooner. Going straight into season 2.

Everyone hates season 1 so if you loved it, I'm interested to see what you think of the rest.

They hate it because they didn't think it was funny? Season 2 already has me laughing a bit more but I thought season 1 was really funny.

I've not seen it for ages but the show was still developing in season 1 to see what worked. Season 1 was closer to The Office than what the show became and they intentionally made Leslie (and Andy) more likeable after it.

I wish I could get into Parks and Rec as much as others seem to, it just doesn't really click with me sadly

Dark

S1 - 10/10
S2 - 10/10
S3 - 6/10

A real shame the final season fell so far short for me as the first two were some of the best television I've seen in a really long time, with the single greatest example of casting I've ever seen. If you told me that CGI was involved at points I would have believed you, over the idea of having to find enough actors that look so eerily alike.

I was hoping we'd keep going back far enough for a revelation that Winden had been founded by the 2019 teenagers, that the entire town would cease to exist if they chose to not settle down. I didn't particularly like the idea of Tannhaus being the cause of the two worlds, even if the ending itself was very beautifully done and bittersweet - I do think it loses some magic with all the well implemented multi-generational storylines eventually becoming meaningless (the tragedy of Ulrich and Katarina especially). Eventually, the constant reminders that you can't change the past and that the characters' older versions kept lying to them got a bit tiresome and I was left thinking what could have been. The third season also had so little of Magnus and Franziska and lost a lot of that Twin Peaks 'small town with secrets' vibe that was executed perfectly in season one.

The Umbrella Academy

S1 - 6/10
S2 - 8/10

This show was clearly so much more comfortable in the second season than the first, where season one came across as a pastiche of many other comic book adaptations that cater to older millennial / Gen X audiences with the retrofuturistic style feeling so much more suitable with the plot of season two. The use of music was so much more improved as well instead of relying on old reliables in Queen, Sinnerman, Exit Music (for a Film), Barracuda and just not getting it right.

Slasher S1 - 8/10

If you liked stuff like Scream, Harper's Island etc, this is for you. Decent season, possibly let down by a dearth of real suspects, I was reasonably confident I had locked in the killer before the halfway point and I also foresaw the other big twist by the end of the second episode. Trying to guess this stuff is half the fun though.

I started watching that a while ago and never finished it. Still on Netflix?

Lost

S1 - 8/10
S2 - 7/10
S3 - 5/10
S4 - 5/10 (literally all for The Constant)
S5 - 6/10
S6 - 4/10

The most interesting thing about watching this show for the first time in a decade is how much the filler episodes actually improved the show overall in the first two seasons. The decision to more or less get rid of them because season three was so gooseberry fool made most of the rest of the show actively worse - season five notwithstanding.

For anyone thinking it's been long enough to consider rewatching this, just don't. It's still a waste of time.

Really surprised you've got S4 so low, I remember that being my second favourite season. Also, S5 the third best season?! Somewhere Oblomov Boblomov is smiling.

It holds up with how I felt at the time I think. I just hated the boat plotline with a passion and I'm a sucker for a good time travel story.

Never got past S2 with Lost, it just didn't feel like it was going to be worth it. Might go back and finish it one day!

Its still my favourite tv series with the best bunch of characters. It did have a shaky middle and the last season was a little rushed, but as a complete series it was great.

This is basically where my partner was when we decided to watch it. She mostly enjoyed it but the first few episodes of season six hit her enthusiasm like a brick wall.

We've only just gone back to it after three months or so.

There's honestly much better shows to spend your time on that have come out since 2010.

Lost is still one of my all time favourite shows.

Season 3 always seems to get a lot of stick too, but i actually really enjoyed it.
