Never been into Formula 1 (I think i've watched one race) but this has made me feel like i'm into it and would really enjoy it. But then it is a 1-2 hour race shown in about 3-4 minute clips which are essentially the highlights of the crashes and overtakes so maybe not.

Started season 2 this morning to get my fix.

It's a great introduction to the sport, but be aware it makes rivalries out of things that the casual viewer neither sees not gives a gooseberry fool about (nobody gives a strawberry float about Haas, let alone if they're in a scrap with Renault at a particular race).

Most people support drivers rather than teams. Season 2 is better and they're allowed to film with Ferrari and Mercedes which they weren't for season 1.

Yeah I watched two episodes this morning and noticed pretty quickly that we was seeing the big dogs this time around.

That Grosjean guy for Haas barely ever seemed to finish a race in the first series and now their car at the start of this season is shite and they seem to have dropped off massively from fighting to be top of the midtable.

I think my favourite driver from what i've seen so far is Riccardo. Shame he took a step back to Renault as they make it seem like he isn't going to have much chance of winning anything there.

I don't know how LOLsjean is still in this support. When he crashed in Baku 2018 under the safety car I almost died laughing.

Five episodes in and I'm checking out. It just isn't interesting me whatsoever.

The whole sixth episode was done as one long take, I think filmed in five one-shots, but still impressive and worth watching if you happen to be into that sort of thing.

And that's season two finished of Drive to Survive.

Bloody loved it.

I've seen Rush before, and I know Senna is a must watch so that's next on my list to watch (if anyone knows if it's on any streaming platforms that'll be good) but other than that, i've had a look at when the next race is and am ready to watch one live to see if I enjoy that too.

The family in the house bits (flashbacks) were great, the modern day stuff a lot less so.

Don’t you remember? That was Ericsson’s fault!

While I enjoyed series 2 of it I thought the first was quite a bit better. Second one I found was on more as something in the background whereas series 1 I was quite hooked on. Rush is superb, not sure if Senna is on any streaming platforms or not, sure it was on iPlayer at some point but that might have been another Senna themed programme.

Personally I really enjoyed The Haunting of Hill House, thought it dragged a little at points but on the whole rather good, looking forward to the other series coming out later this year I believe.

The Haunting of Bly Manor. I'll give that a watch to see if I like it any more than I did Hill House.

Pretty sure Senna is on Netflix. It's great.

Come on over to the F1 thread and chat!

I don’t know, Rush has Natalie Dormer in :datass:

Both great though and well worth watching.

Avatar: The Last Airbender - 9.5/10

I'd never seen any of this before but knew it was highly rated. It's fantastic, from a start where I was wondering if the characters were just going to be annoying, it builds up into an epic adventure.

My only criticism (and I get why, it's a Nickelodeon kids show after all) is it's a bit too much like the A-Team at times. A building or vehicle will explode in a spectacular way but the camera will always cut back to show everyone got out safely. A kids show can't show too much death of course, but it needed more jeopardy, I never felt anyone was at risk of dying.

That's a small criticism though, it's a fantastic show.

Now, do I watch the movie which I've never heard anything good about.....

There's a sequel show as well, set about 100 years in the future you should check out. I recently rewatched both and I don't think Legend of Korea is as good, but I still enjoyed seeing more of the world.

Yeah I saw there was a sequel series. It doesn't seem to be on Netflix though so it'll have to wait.
