I always got the impression that NOTHING will beat the first season. One of the best TV I’ve ever seen.

Haven’t seen the second season yet and I will fix that ASAP.

You might just need to trust me on this but I would suggest you hold on to that great memory of the first series and pretend that it never carried on beyond that.

Some would disagree, but I thought both series 2 and 3 were mostly gooseberry fool.

I've re-watched them all quite recently and would put season 7 at the same level as 1. Maybe even worse actually. The quality in which Parks drops after season 5 is quite noticeable actually. I'm not sure if the writers changed but it certainly became a lot less funny.

I would agree with this. I just finished struggling through the final season of Parks and the drop off is really noticeable. It turns out I must have bailed on the final season during my first run of the show as I didn't remember the last few episodes at all!

The finale is one of the worst ends to a show I've ever seen. Most shows find a way to offer some level of closure whilst leaving the audience intrigued by what might happen to the characters in the future. Parks tries to have its cake and eat it and fails massively. Want some mystery about what happens to these guys in the future? Well strawberry float you because we're going to tell you their entire life story in the last episode! :fp:

Parks 2-5 is very good TV. 1, 6 and 7 are middling to weak.

Ted Lasso - 7.5/10

It's a mostly predictable comedy but it has a lot of heart. It's funny but the overwhelming feeling I got from it was just how nice and uplifting it was.

I watched this last week and also really enjoyed it. Like you say it's not groundbreaking, or even particularly hilarious, but Ted is just so overwhelmingly positive I couldn't help but really root for him, which made some of the scenes concerning his personal life hit that little bit harder.

strawberry floating Hell this series of The Crown is bleak.

I've also been rewatching Succession. I think it's the best drama since The Wire.

First season wasn't that great either imo, got around halfway through S2 before getting bored with it and abandoning i.t

The Frankenstein Chronicles - S1 - 7/10

A pretty good series overall. Sean Bean investigates weird murders in the early 1800s, what's to dislike? I did not see the twist coming where Sean Bean becomes Frankenstein's monster! Although I should have guessed he'd die at some point!

I've watched the first episode of S2 and that twat Laurence Fox has shown up. Looks like S2 will have much to dislike. :x

I watched the Season 20 of South Park, which was funny in places. I've been watching a few other ones now.

Yeah! I watched the second episode too and it was just as good as the first.

He doesn't like the Murdochs Roys and is concerned what their evil empire could do to his business.

Glad someone else thinks so too. It's absolutely glorious.

The Vaulter stuff in S2 is amazing.

I love how dark it is and what a serious on point reflection of the media, political and corporate landscape in America it achieves. While at the same time being the funniest thing on TV.

Wouldn't work half as well if the ensemble cast wasn't so brilliant.

Watched all of Dark recently, blended into one a but but I feel it's something liek

Season 1 9/10
Season 2 7.5/10
Season 3 7.5/10

Felt it got a bit ponderous and drawn out in Season 2/3, I quite liked all the extended family stuff so that wasn't an issue for me but just sort of felt the 'main' plot had a lot of screen time without anything really moving on.

The ending was satisfactory, no lost like complaints.

Though

Did they ever mention why Noah was trying to build a time machine?- I got a bit confused with that bit.
