The One

Rubbish. The most unconvincing romance seen for years between a profoundly wooden actor portraying the main character and a Spanish George Michael.

Thinks it is about 20 times more dramatic and slick than it actually is.

Got The Terror finished off at the weekend, definitely an 8/10, maybe an 8.5/10. I actually found myself turning off a little when the monster turned up a lot more as the series progressed, still a fantastic TV series though, some fantastic acting throughout by the main cast too.

Yeah, the performances were superb. Tbh they could have done without the monster, there was enough terror/horror being bandied about!

Mythic Quest - 6/10 (F. Murray Abraham - 10/10)
Its a bit hit and miss, but overall its a decent show. F Murray Abraham is amazingly good though, there's a guaranteed laugh everytime he's on screen; his character deserves his own show!

Six episodes. Starts off as your typical mystery thriller, goes a bit nuts in the second half. Some will hate the last two episodes but it ties everything together well and has a few nice surprises. I loved the second to last twist and did not see it coming, but after that it was easy to predict the ending.

I would also give this an 8/10, I think the pacing is perhaps a little off (starts too slowly) but I liked it. We realised that Adele was Rob as soon as they Louise/Adele switched bodies, as the heroin use made sense. Would have potentially preferred a happier ending.

Edit: Interesting it didn't receive great critical reviews.

Age of Samurai: Battle for Japan

This is a well-done documentary series covering the Sengoku period with that Netflix money to do stylish maps and well produced/acted scenes and gory battles to illustrate events being discussed by the various talking head historians.

It skips over decades of intricate history in a few episodes so is obviously generalising a lot but I found it very interesting and gave me the broad gist of a period I knew little about beforehand.

I'm really enjoying this at the moment. Up to episode 4.

Recently watch The Mentalist, Perception and Lie to Me. I enjoyed all 3. I liked the Mentalist the most, Lie to Me needed more seasons, but was great and Perception was enjoyable though the weaker of the 3 shows.

I finished Community S1. It's a lot better than I remembered it being. Although I don't remember Jeff being so unlikable.

Started Line of Duty and it’s alright, couple of episodes in and already some stuff feels a bit too convenient? Like in the second episode the kid chucks the bag of drugs over the fence while both officers are looking directly at him but didn’t say a thing  seems decent enough for me to continue for now, not sure if it sticks like this why everyone raves about it though.

Isn't that his whole schtick from Day 1, that he's selfish and out for himself? But they slowly wear him down etc

It's a bloody ridiculous show. But it's gloriously ridiculous.

Try and stick with it until series 2, or else I'll serve you with a reg-15. We can't have CHIS backing out now, all we want is to catch BENT COPPERS. Mother of god.

Yeah, pretty much. Despite that, I remembered liking him a lot more when I watched it years ago.

Mainly jealous of him kissing Annie :x

I think its because he becomes more likeable later on and you forget he's a dick and then you watch it again and its like I don't remember him being such a dick.

I've ordered the person of Interest complete series DVD on the back of people's comments on here as I thought Fringe was amazing.

Ok just keep in mind like fringe it is very case of the week at the start (but doing character pieces at same time) ramping up at at end of S1, increasing through S2/3 until 4 onwards of basically all arc

Let us know what you think
