Isn't that his whole schtick from Day 1, that he's selfish and out for himself? But they slowly wear him down etc

Yeah, pretty much. Despite that, I remembered liking him a lot more when I watched it years ago.

Mainly jealous of him kissing Annie :x

I think its because he becomes more likeable later on and you forget he's a dick and then you watch it again and its like I don't remember him being such a dick.

I made up to S4 before, I think? So that might be it.

The second season of it has been really funny. Troy is comedy gold.

Ok just keep in mind like fringe it is very case of the week at the start (but doing character pieces at same time) ramping up at at end of S1, increasing through S2/3 until 4 onwards of basically all arc

Let us know what you think

I've got lots of holiday booked in the next couple of months so I should have time to really get into this and I'll keep you all updated.

I'm looking forward to it as a huge Fringe and X-Files fan I have a soft spot for case of the week style shows.

Also bare in mind- there's very little sci-fi at the start and even when it does happen it's still primarily an action show.

Whats even the point?

No it's set on a far away planet in the distant future.

That entirely coincidently is exactly like 2000s Earth

I hope on this alternate Earth Luton Town FC wasn't screwed over by the FA and given massive points deductions for 2 seasons running.

Finished series 1 of Line of Duty this afternoon, after a decent but not amazing first couple of episodes it really ramped up towards the end!

Season 2 is probably the best the show has ever been.

2/3 is the combined peak for me, but everything the show has done has been excellent

Enjoyed this. First time I've engaged with this series, interesting concept, int he same way Big Brother was interesting before they began casting for ratings. Chuffed that my guy Jersey Bro won. :toot:

Will probably check out the UK series.

The Circle UK (S1)

Loved this, did not expect the winner to be, er, the winner. Loved the dynamic between the final four. The only concern I had after this was if it would ever be possible for a latecomer to win, as they were always immediately blocked.

The Circle UK (S2)
Went on too long for my money but I still enjoyed it. James, the scouser posing as the girl with the baby made it for me, constantly hilarious.

Currently catching up on S3 :toot:

Line of Duty Series 1-4 8/10- We have been binge watching this over the last week, as the girlfriend wants to watch S6 and I've never seen it before. I'd put it in the realms of very good but not great television, though each season seems to get slightly better (Series 1 clearly being the weakest- though still very good and it helps gets the ball rolling).

Season 5 is far and away the worst season but 6 has been good so far.

Just started series 3 of Line of Duty, first episode is really good, it seems to be overly in your face with how much of a bent copper the main bent copper is, from series 2 where it chopped and changed almost at will I guess it won’t end up quite as clear cut.

Edit, just got to the credits, maybe not obvious at all

Atlanta (season 2) - 8/10

The 2nd season is a bit inconsistent as Glover changes through genres between eps; but, it's always a fun watch and when it's on top form it's feckin' fantastic. Barbershop  and Teddy Perkins :dread: being the highlights.

Good to see season 3 has finally started shooting.

I think Dot is my favourite character so far in Line of Duty, considering his character arc I’m certainly not expecting him to be around for the long term though :(

Kingdom (the MMA show, not the zombie one) S1 - 8/10

I don't have any interest in MMA but heard this show was good and it's leaving Netlfix at the end of the month, so I gave it a try.
Very good actually! Gives me strong The Shield vibes, even though it's not really like that show at all, it's just gritty and the characters are dicks but you root for them anyway.

Will go straight on to season 2...
