While its cast and production values impress, it's essentially slow, bleak, grim and relentlessly dour misery porn; that breeds familiarity to The Terror, but bears ill in comparison.

I'm enjoying Vigil. We're only 3 episodes in and yes the submarine corridors are ridiculously wide but the conspiracy is fun.

My main criticism is they made Johnson captain and I can't take Johnson seriously, ever.

Felt very baited with Vigil with how much the BBC touted it as being from 'the people who brought you Line of Duty' which I guess is technically true but I foolishly assumed it was Jed Mercurio and Martin Compston working together again.

But nah

Vigil is still an enjoyable watch but I’m trying not to take it too seriously to be honest, despite the fact they want you to take it seriously.

Think I heard the Royal Navy refused the offer to advise on the show, unsurprisingly.

I just couldn't get over how cheap it looks, really ropey CGI and just really flat looking, like an episode of Doctors or Holby City. Ah well, at least others are enjoying it.

I'm exactly the same, I can't get past it

Is that Johnson as in peep show Johnson? Because he's always Johnson in anything.

Started watching Squid Game last night. When I first saw the title, I was half expecting it to be something about Splatoon (it isn't). First episode was very enjoyable, looking forward to ep. 2!

I’ve got that on my list in Netflix, thought it looked like it could be kind of interesting?

Just finished off series 2 of Sex Education again, so will be starting the 3rd tomorrow hopefully. I just really hope it continues as strongly as the first 2 series have done.

Yea same. Major echoes of this batshit mental Japanese movie with a similar concept (Leave Fate to Gods, or As the Gods Wish or something), but enjoyable nonsense.

Not a satisfying climax as it's not finished, hopefully it lasts for a long time to come as it's still strong and is nowhere near limp yet.

2 episodes into series 3 of Sex Education and still think it’s continued fairly strongly, maybe not quite as strong as the first couple of series but still very good. Does it tail off a bit in the second half then?

Regarding Vigil, I only watched up to halfway through the 2nd episode and couldn't be bothered with it any more. It's just so naff.

Also, I don't believe in any of the characters at all.
