Seriously doubt it but it's great to see.

Yeah probably wishful thinking but I'd love to see the genre come back in the way fighters have been (if not to a huge extent) the past year or so.

Too many good games I think.

ermm.. yes a bit.

Oh dear.

I just meant that if you look at the individual formats chart its clear the 360 sales are fine.

Unless I'm reading it wrong...Far Cry 2 is still doing better than Fable 2 and hasn't dropped as hard or as fast as Fable 2.

I have no interest in World Tour, in fact I'd be happy if they stopped making music games altogether.

Far Cry 2 is available on 3 platforms, despite that only a couple of places seperate them.

On 360 Fable 2 is 19 places above Far Cry 2.

How did Pacific Rift do in America's charts on its launch a couple of weeks ago? #28 on the individual formats is even more of an injustice.

Massive drop in sales for Fallout 3 as well.

I wonder if Gears 2 will also see a similar drop in sales in next weeks sales figures.

Too many games outright now?

Aye, but bar Gears 2, there aren't that many big titles out for the 360 which makes the sales drop for Fable 2 slightly worrying...I'm pretty sure the first Fable didn't drop in the charts/sales as hard as Fable 2 has.

A 12 place drop in a week is pretty shocking stuff.

Fable 2 outsold the original Fable's launch week by 3.81 to 1, and has already achieved Silver Sales Award status from ELSPA (>100,000 copies sold in the UK). Fable 2's second week sales were also greater than Fable's first week (see the percentage drop last week). So it's doing great here so far :)
12 place on the chart at this time of year can be deceptive, too. Sales are generally higher now than at other times of the year, and there are a lot of other big titles competing from spots on the chart.

Really well that's great news then. :D

I don't really follow these threads every week so was a little surprised to see it drop so quickly.

Cheers for the info Garth.

I'm honestly surprised Layton isn't higher. In the South-East, it's more or less sold out everywhere. Some woman drove from Ashford to Bluewater looking for a copy today.

People only bought Motorstorm because it was all there was at launch. Relatively boring franchise + much bigger titles out = failure. Not surprised in the least.

LBP debuting at 4 isn't brilliant either. Should be interesting where it ends up next week.

Agree with all this. So what's left for Sony, Resistance 2? Again I can't see this making that much of an impact considering there is no advertising :fp: What a way to end 'Sonys' year...

Well done Gears, clearly deserves that top spot

It's not bad. Considering Sony's piss poor marketing efforts it has done better than I expected and it's the kind of game that should sell consistently over a long period of time.

have you actually played the full version of Pacific Rift, the first motorstorm was ok but not the best game in the world, this one is one of the best racing games ive played in a very long time and much preffered to compared to burnout or grid. IN the Us its very popular and is a big popular title for 1up .

I think that the confused launch strategy has strawberry floated World Tour for now (although, given the popularity of the franchise, it'll stick around for a long while). Releasing the game one week and the full band version the next... it's a bizarre strategy, and one that clearly hasn't worked.

got motorstorm (1st one) with my ps3, it was rubbish (opinion) and got traded the next day, i'm glad the 2nd one appears to have gone tits up as it looked as bad as the first one.

i've ordered LBP, but have to agree. 4th is not what many were expecting from a AAA system seller.

You're glad? :?

1) you've not even played it
2) it's actually rather good
3) Shadow (top man) works for the devs,
4) who are a British-based developer, who I feel we should support

Nice one :fp:
