Not sure if any of you guys listen to the GI podcast or use the GI website but GameStop (Who own GI) have begun laying off some of the GI staff, some have been with the magazine 10 years

The Resetera thread is keeping up to date with developments but around 5 of the team have been confirmed as being let go so far.
