If we don't see BOTW2 this year I wonder if we will see a remake of one of the Oracle games or (please please) Minish Cap in this style?

I’d love the Oracle games, there a few of the ones I’m yet to play actually! Just hope we’d get a double pack with both rather than standalone releases.

Yep and a more streamlined way of accessing the post game content for completing both.

For what it’s worth I didn’t have any frame rate issues when I streamed through this last week. Thought it was absolutely charming. Solid 8.5/10 little game for me!

How did you find the Eagle dungeon? Allegedly that's the toughest dungeon, I thought it was on the fun side of difficult and there was one of those satisfying "ahh!" moments once I clocked it.

Finished the third dungeon. Really enjoying it and it's nice to start a game and not have that feeling of 'this is huge I will never finish it'.

Question regarding dungeon order, is there any reason I shouldn't do the Colour Dungeon in the graveyard or the Dream Dungeon in the first village now before going to dungeon 4? Are they made for later in the game?

What was the problem with accessing the post game stuff? As I said, the Orcale games (alongside Zelda 2 and Triforce Heroes) are a few of the Zelda games I’ve yet to play. Did you need both copies and a link cable for something?

You had to complete one then you were given a really long and complicated code that you needed to type in before starting the other one. Then I think you were maybe given another code?

Not 100% sure but it was too much for 11 year old me. Basically would be really easy to sort out with today's tech.

Classic Nintendo :fp:

If they did release them and as a double pack surely they could just have the requirement being both games completed?

It was actually Capcom ;)

And its slightly different as completing one first actually affected the story of the other one - it acts as a continuation of the story and changes slightly how the game plays out (I think you keep the same animal companion throughout.)

Really cool idea that I think is ripe for updating, would just need some tweaking.

Edit: having looked into it a bit more you apparently could use a link cable if you had 2 game boys and both copies of the game to tell the other game you'd completed one.

Sounds like quite a neat idea for a couple of games though, with a little work of course.

Do the dream shrine now, it's not a dungeon and you get an important item that has a big QOL effect in the remake

Color Dungeon you can do whenever, in this remake you get the option of ignoring the reward anyway if you think it makes things too easy

If I were them, and intent on making as much money as possible I would:

Release Oracle of Ages first (this is generally seen as the better one). Announce that updated Seasons will be coming next year, and that completing Ages will unlock the Linked Game mode in Seasons (with a few additional bonus features).

Then release Seasons separately a year later alongside a double pack. Also make it so that completing seasons first gives you the bonus extras in Ages.

I'd be fine with this as to be fair they are both full games that will need a decent amount of polish to get up to speed, so you really need 2 games' worth of dev time. The time between releases also increases the chance of people buying both, and getting the (slightly) better one out the door first also helps with this.

This sounds awful I bet Nintendo do this

(Actually I think we're safe because Nintendo don't want to draw attention to Capcom making one of the best Zelda games so we'll never get a rerelease of Minish Cap or the Oracles)

I did that on stream at like, half midnight and Devlin had to give me a hint in the right direction. You can watch the VOD of it happening, then watch me as the realisation dawns.

I would very much like this with a timestamp from when you get into it

If the timestamp hasn't worked, 4:49:47 is when I make it into the Eagle's Tower.

If it hadn't been late and 5 hours into the stream you would have figured it out easily. I think you were tired and just forgot the Big Ball thing existed.
