Yes you can, in fact when Aonuma said 3 years ago he wanted to make a thief game he was actually talking about Link’s Awakening.

Just finished my first play through - I loved it obviously. I'm saying its the best because it isn't but its probably the most fun I've had with a Zelda game. Just the right level of challenge, nice story. Just a pleassure - im so grateful for this remakes existenance so I could experience it. Never played the original but it made me nostalgic for a time - this game is so 90s RPG I love it.

As nice as the shiny, plasticy toy like aesthetic you got throughout the game it would have been nice if we got a little more of the kind of art style and direction that was at the title screen and the ending though (maybe some added cutscenes).

Plus 1 for being a bit rubbish at this game. Day 1 purchase and my profile tells me I've played for 30 hours or more and hadn't much beyond the minimum requirements to finish it. It's not that hard and I didn't use a guide but I would never have been able to get very far on this when I was a kid (especially considering these wonder kids did it on a game boy).

Before I got my Switch I played the big modern AAA games but I have to say completing Links Awakening feels like more of an earned achievement.

You have to go back for that breakable wall in the tail cave, you can't get bombs before doing it. Pretty sure it's the only dungeon you need to return to in the game to get everything, which is a bit weird!

And done, what a tremendous little game. It's nice to play something that isn't just overloaded with clutter.

Finished last night, between 25 and 30 hours playtime. Wonderful game, enjoyed every minute of it. Well, apart from the 3 missing seashells I can't seem to find :x

I assume you have the detector turned on? Have you exhausted the mini-games?

Trendy game? Yep got the last statue/model from there last night along with a dungeon block. Got a shell from fishing, and the south east one that some struggled on (was so happy I figured it out on my own without looking it up) and went back and got one from the tail cave too. I've walked everywhere and not a blip from the detector.

If you want some potential clues:

Try fishing some more. Also, have you played through the chamber dungeons?

I did it fairly late. It was easy enough. On the GBC I did it after the main game not knowing the reward was more beneficial for doing it earlier.

Is she not at home? I'm sure she wouldn't just up and leave without letting anyone know...

Just reached the Face Palace, still enjoying this a lot, a couple of annoying bits aside.

Getting into this now. Got past the maw thing and now attempting to complete a trading quest to get a special item, which I hear makes things easier. Pretty decent game and a nice break from the main zelda titles, however not worth £50.
