Looks good, but am worried the game will just be too short to justify such a high price?

That's not a question.

The gameboy one is probably 15-20 hours if you go for all the collectibles

Whilst it's not massive it isn't exactly a tiny game either. Will be interesting to see if they bring anything else to the game to extend the play time as well, the dungeon maker stuff already looks like great fun.

QOL improvements will cut down on that slightly (item management will be a lot better-Pegasus Boots and Power Bracelet always equipped for example).

Regardless though, it’ll still be a good 10-15 hours for everything I think.

Anyway, for this kind of remake, where are they really saving the costs? The story? Dungeon design? Maybe they need a few less positions in the development team but it’s still going to be a a lot of people working on it.

Incidentally, have they announced the team behind it? I wonder if it’s Grezzo, we haven’t had anything from them for awhile.

Would love it if there was a new dungeon that somehow made use of the unique features the Switch offers like the Color Dungeon was for the GBC.

Switch tax dungeon! It's just the regular shop but everything is 200 rupees more expensive than normal :datass:

I'm sitting here trying to think of Switch specific features and the first thing I can come up with is an item that directs you towards secret seashells with HD rumble.

Now thinking some more, remember the Advance shop that only appeared in the Oracle games when you were playing on a GBA? Also note how the camera shop has been replaced with Dampe's shack? Well what if it changed between Dampe's shack and the camera shop depending on whether you were playing in handheld or on TV??

It won't happen but I need to keep my hopes of the camera pictures still being in it the game alive somehow

15-20 hours? I reckon that'll translate to 30+ for me; admiring the art style will take its toll on overall 'playtime'. I don't think the dungeon creator will amount to anything more than a proof of concept for something the team might at least be thinking about expanding upon.

I would be very surprised if anyone clocks 30+ hours on a playthrough unless it comes from the dungeon editor. 15-20 is generous enough for people exploring around and figuring things out.

Only really played BOTW properly so I'll deffo be getting this to experience more Zelda as I can't go back and play old ones as they are old and just feel like old games when there isn't a nostalgia element linked to it

See I want the art book, but I want the game digitally. Much frustration!
