Reading that makes me angry

I wonder if Nintendo would have been better off just not adding free camera control at all, rather than the compromised button control version. The game certainly doesn't need it.

Ghirahim is also one of my favourite Zelda antagonists - fighting him multiple times is a big part of that! It sets him up and reinforces him as an antagonist rather than just a throwaway boss fight, similar to King Bulblin in Twilight Princess.

Done :toot:

Really is a great game in my opinion, great story, characters, dungeons, top music, some amazing cutscenes. Really hope they can get a better story and dungeons into the sequel to BoTW (which I’m tempted to start again on my second profile at some point) as that’d make an already great looking sequel even better!

Not that angry you put a  after it

I think with the Ghirahim fights, it doesn’t work as well using the thumbsticks as its all about deception to where you are going to swing and that does feed to the thumbstick. Don’t get me wrong the character is great. Not a patch on Groose though!

Yes I always loved Groose. There's a reason he became popular!

He's a really well developed character with a great arc. Obviously he is unlikable at the start, but he's a bit like Mido from Ocarina with a lot more involvement in the story where he redeems himself and then some. He never loses his arrogance but it becomes endearing, the groosenator is great, and his character relationships (with Impa, the way he changes towards Link) are touching.

Yeah, his arc is one reason why the Skyward Sword story is so enjoyable

Back on this after another break, just done the first "trial gate" and I'm now tasked with getting some magic water for the Water Dragon. The bitty way I've been playing the game is probably not helping but it feels like this has lost a bit of momentum

I'm hugely grateful for the fact I have no idea what memes are being referred to here.

So far Groose just seems like a standard Zelda douchebag character

I think that back-and-forth water dragon section is the worst pace-killer, to be honest. But once you've seen and accepted the formula for the flames section (NPC quest pre-dungeon) and know to expect it I think it's better. And the your next dungeon is a doozy which should help enliven it again!

No idea, about 20 hours. I'm at the water dragon

Dedicated a good four hours into this after two weeks away, having ended things last time at the start of the Lanayru Mining Facility. I've loved exploring it, fighting the boss of it, then facing off against The Imprisoned for the first time. Only managed to get on top of it once for the first hit, as I was struggling to land the other times. Got to some underwater exploring in Faron Woods and performed the task for the water dragon, and ended things off at the start of the Ancient Cistern. Such a joy to be running through.

I'm sorry to bump this, but I was just watching a livestream of this game and somebody in the chat asked

"was this originally released on the DS?"

originally released on the DS?

released on the DS?
