The Imprisoned Round 3? Why didn't you like it?
Glad you're enjoying this game otherwise though
I just found it overly fussy on a mechanical level. You cant ever get in close with the sword due to the AoE of his feet (!) and even 35 arrows doesn't do a great deal of damage, so a lot of the time is spent waiting for the
Groose cooldown.
And then the crowning turn in the u bend was that when he toppled over not only could I not run around him (which I acknowledge is by design and fine), but nor could I use the
steam plumes as the distance to the previous one was too far for me to run over to and then back from before he had gotten back up.
Also when
getting in the catapult it uses the same button
to skip dialogue as to launch (ie A as well as ZR), so I ended up strawberry floating off in completely the wrong direction. And it was far too hot for all that
bollocksBut I really enjoyed the next bit
tadtone collecting, which I am sure many loathed. It's a great game.
This post inspired me to bother to make some clips to show the skydiving possibility which many miss in the fight - see the post below!
I legit love Imprisoned 3, in which you don't actually have to strike its toes at all (which is rubbish agreed - but maybe purposefully so to push you to find other tactics? Unsure and admittedly not well done if so) and in which you get the rickety Groose Canon to play with - with a great final twist with the Link-bomb! We'll have to disagree on the Cooldown time - I just did it again this morning for these clips and the Cooldown is barely a thing?
But! What pains me about the fight is that one of the best parts about it is the central air-gust being one that slings you all the way up and puts you into the awesome (and underused overall) Skydive mode.
This makes the boss way more manageable (as you can see I can do it in under a couple minutes, and you don't even need to rely on the canon if you use the central plume) and more flexible and also more epic - because the top-down skydive view has a great sense of scale and the flutter of Link's clothes as he falls (or the whoosh down if you fast-fall) is more epic than anything the glider can do in BotW. Never mind the game-feel of the motion gyro!
But I don't think Nintendo directs you to this well or something because I frequently see people complain about the Imprisoned fights and the toe-bashing when you barely have to do this across all three fights if using the plumes fully
Anyway whilst I'm posting clips, in the post below is also one of me playing Land On A Lillypad because this game has the best swimming in any game.
(The Actual game is Land On A Lillypad With The Right Angle And Distance To Not Roll Off It's Edge, but I couldn't find a clip of it!)
