Well I'm happy with that. Although given how recently I played it I might wait on it.

Dude  . That Scaldera battle actually put me off from playing the game. I know that I must have made a complete meal out if it, but I had to resort to YouTube to work out how to emerge victorious. It just goes to prove that, as I think Orange was hinting at, the game needed more way more handholding ;) .

I got a bit too excited at first because it sounded like the music in the trailer felt reworked but I think I'm just being crazy.

Dear first-timers, please be aware that there is an alternate take on this don't worry! Because I thought the Silent Realm/tear sections were genuinely tense and panicky, and added proper gamefeel variety that felt almost 2D in its pure focus on speed and timing etc.

Let's see how they land this time round!

Very pleased about the QoL changes, even if they are pretty industry-standard/baseline stuff! I hope no one skips the (great) cutscenes, mind!

I'm hoping the HD rumble of switch adds as much an accent of physicality to sword stuff as it does with Ring Fit and so on. I Love the Switch rumble!

I think it was famously the first orchestrated Zelda even the first time round so I'd be surprised if they re-orchestrated it tbh!

It's worth mentioning that it's not entirely out of the question since WWHD did get some tweaks too. But I'm not getting any hopes up. Could just be down to better audio quality since the game is on a HD console for the first time.

Having never played this I can honestly say it’s my second most anticipated Switch game of the year (after Great Attorney Chronicles).
Seeing the positive reaction to the QoL improvements have me even more hyped.
I’m about 13 hours in to Twilight Princess remaster on Wii U (after buying day one :fp: ). I forget how creative and wacky Zelda can be at times.

I for one am looking forward to holding my right Switch Joycon aloft like a bad ass and swishing it around in the right direction to kill enemies all over again. This time without all the recalibration....right...RIGHT?!

I have just entered the Dungeon in Lake Hylia (the 3rd one). So a long way to go.

Really enjoying the game, but my god the horse riding mechanics are bad. Maybe the numerous games that have introduced the mechanic since this game originally launched have aged it worse than the other aspects.

I *think* I'm on the next Dungeon............... I'm at 20 hours

(The '7.5 hour' Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King' took me 15 hours, so I have form.)

I've no idea how anyone can struggle so much with that boss but I will get you to finish a Zelda one day.

Preordered this today. 38.50 with Currys, and you can use MS rewards points for a digital voucher for anyone in a similar position to me where they have loads of Rewards points but don’t feel the need to buy games because of Game Pass.

I can't remember if the original game targeted a consistent 60fps? Because that alone is a bit a draw honestly, especially for a game that depends so much on fluid movement and is comparable to Wind Waker which generally nailed the performance aspect. I still love that game on GameCube (recently completed it again on Wii U). There's something about these nicely rendered cel shaded games and a nice framerate that just makes them a joy to look at versus a more, er, "cinematic" "current/next/new" gen experience .

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Original releases of both games were 30 fps. Even on Wii U Wind Waker was still 30.

I think it's the first 60fps 3D Zelda, and I agree that it deffo makes a difference.

I was just thinking whilst watching the latest trailer (literally watched it about 15 times already) that it makes things look more present and real than any other 3D Zelda. It's like how the cinematic feel and grandeur of film (24fps?) was lost when smoothed out in something like the Hobbit (48fps in the special versions) - it looked too immediate in that way that looks like camcorder footage or a cheap soap.

But in the case of games (and now Zelda) it looks so much more like things are actually happening and occurring in front of you, Without that cinematic remove. I'm excited to play through a Zelda where things pop with a movement and flow that I think brings it even more to life!

Edit: I think this will especially suit Skyward Sword, which - because of the motions controls - happens the most in real time and real space? (and yes I know I've used that phrase before!)
