I’ve gone back to this now after having a break for a week, now at the part where I need to revisit everywhere to get the Song of Time completed. Hoping to get this wrapped up over the next week in between sessions on Quake

Spent my time today doing the gratitude side quest (think I’m 5 short of fully completing it but oh well), more importantly I’ve got the Hylian Shield!! never got this on the Wii version so I’m glad to get it on this run. Just entered Sky Keep, think I may try and get this finished off tomorrow as there’s not much left now!

I think I’ve got all the ones in Skyloft but feeling ready to finish off the game rather than comb the sky for the remaining few!

It’s only 15 scattered across 3 islands it’s not that much of a comb

Lumpy pumpkin and beedles island being the other two

Started Sky Keep evening, this was the one dungeon I wasn’t a huge fan of last time and I’m still not this time. It’s alright but the others were just better in my opinion. Will definitely plan to get this finished off tomorrow

Hylian Shield looks great in this too.

I thought Sky Keep was great. The slide-tile thing is interesting and I thought some of the concepts like time-stones (with conveyors etc) were taken further than they had been before. Also quite like the strangeness of the one-room biomes!

I like the individual rooms, just not a fan of the sliding puzzle mixed in if I’m honest.

Trying to obtain the Triforce pieces now, I have got one piece so far, saved my game and will continue on tomorrow.

What should I take with me into the final fight? I have no shield and one heart potion. I have a few of those medals that give you extra hearts.

Definitely a shield as bashing is very useful, preferably a Goddess or the Hylian one, both life medals (if you have both) and then just equip all your bottles with whatever potions you think, if you’re going for the upgraded invincibility potion then the potion medal is good as that doubles the duration of its effects.

Not sure if you’ve started any of the final battle but I’m sure it’s split into 3 parts, each you can save/heal afterwards too so while plenty of potions etc are good they’re not exactly a must have.

Edit, I’ve just got 1 more piece of the Triforce to get them I’ll be making a start of (and hopefully finish) the last section of the game this afternoon.

Edit, you know what I dislike the most about Sky Keep? Actually getting to the desert Triforce room

All done, never had a shield but had 2 fairies and managed to final blow demise while I have one heart left

I enjoyed it overall, again it would not make my top 5 Zelda games but some of the dungeons and bosses were great. Glad I finally got to play it.

Literally just got the fight with Demise to go, I’ve got 5 upgraded health potions (so they restore full health) so should be good on that front! Got to say I’ve loved playing it again and while some people won’t feel the same, I’ve barely missed the motion controls!
