I guess my point is rather - the Zelda 35th anniversary isn't one we should expect Nintendo to feel compelled to acknowledge.

I think the fact Nintendo didn't acknowledge the date in any way whatsoever-not even a Tweet, makes me think they have something planned for it when they're ready.

There was also a load of Zelda merchandise trademarks made last year in a similar way to Mario apparently.

Metroid will get nothing whatever they do for Zelda and Animal Crossing

Not sure if this has been posted, or if it's the right place for it, but the Youtube algorithm has finally decided it's time for me to see this:

A seriously impressive piece of work. You can even skip to your favourite scenes.

Do we not have a Wind Waker thread?

Playing WW at the moment - finished the Forbidden Forest and back to the pirate ship. Loving it. Honestly I'm not enjoying it as much as SS, but SS with so many puzzles (and not just in the dungeons!) sometimes felt a bit intense; WW is definitely lighter and more of a relaxing challenge - this isn't a bad thing!

I'm playing the Wii U version - the colours, texture art style in general look great and the story is quite addicting (plus pretty dark!) the boss in forbidden forest looked beautiful

Wind Waker was the first Zelda game I completed and still my favourite by far. I would say there are far more "hidden puzzles" and stuff off of the main path in WW than SS Skyward Sword though.

Only done bits of the side quests - for pre-BotW games I'm not that into the side stuff and mostly focus on the main quests.

Still enjoying Wind Waker finished Earth Temple and got to the Wind temple last night which I'll pick up this evening. I love it, but I'm quite far into this now and it feels considerably easier than any other Zelda game I've played. I have thousands of Rubles but haven't needed to spend hardly any, haven't had one game over nor felt particularly challenged on any boss fights. Which I suppose is fine, but the main 'issue' is the dungeons feel super linear - there's little chance to get lost and the puzzles are more like the level of puzzles in Unchartered or Tomb Raider; there's very little trial and error. Like the one in Earth temple where you have to guide the light from the ceiling to destroy statues and open up paths - its very sequential and the blocks just slot into single option fixed holds.
