I need to play SS and TP. I'm in the middle of BotW at the moment and loving every moment. My brother borrowed TP from his friend, completed it and gave it back without me getting to even watch him play.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyblues Sword?

To be fair what probably helped me appreciate the art style most was that back then I was still playing games on a 15" CRT. It's a wonderful looking game, but it's an SD game and suffer greatly from being blown up onto a HDTV.

I enjoyed the game.

I already think a remaster of Skyward Sword could look drop dead gorgeous  on my old CRT it looked alright, bit better when I upgraded to a component cable (sure that was its name) but on my current TV running through the Wii U it doesn't look great, of course it's still perfectly playable and looks alright but you can't help but imagine what it could look like.

Much the same with the dream remake/remaster of Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door, looked amazing on the GameCube so on current hardware it'd look lovely.

As a retro gamer I honestly don't really see what people harp on about when it comes to low res images, I adjust after a couple of minutes. Maybe I just have a really good signal processor in my hdtv. I varyingly play through bog standard composite but mostly GameCube era plus through Wii component or Wii U HDMI. I think my TV displays the native 480p in that case.

I even first played the game on a bloody standard definition projector as a sort of celebration. And I did own a 360 and was playing PC games in "HD" for years. Each to their own I suppose. Sure it's noticeable but it doesn't prevent me getting into a game.

And there I just undid within moments my attempt at a succinct contribution to this thread.

I finished Skyward Sword this year (I think?) playing it through on the Wii U. I thought it looked alright for the most part. Still seemed nice to look at, at least.

According to Nintendo they have no plans to release Skyward Sword in the Switch, of course they would say that though even if it is in the works.

'At this time' so that could easily change soon, and its development wouldn't take too long.

It's the only console Zelda that hasn't been re-released yet so it's only a matter of time >,> I don't think Nintendo would want it lost in the Wii era either. Same goes for the Galaxy games. Staples of the generation that deserves to be revived for newer ages.

I wouldn't read too much into that response. It's not like they're going to reply to whichever journalist that contacted them "oh my god yes, we're releasing Skyward Sword next year!".

Nintendo don't let many years pass without a Zelda release of some kind. I think Grezzo will either be working on Skyward Sword HD or possibly a 2D Zelda of some kind for a 2019 release. They were hiring around a year ago with a job listing that said something like "would you like to make a legend together" too.

Twilight Princess never got a re-release, no?

Yup, it's a type of YPbPr cable that carries different sections of information over different cables. Meaning you get a clearer image with less noise when compared to the composite cable that carried everything over 1 cable.

I have SS and TP on Wii or TPHD on WiiU. Feel free to borrow any of them.

So did I, I think because they did a Four Swords Anniversary Edition on the DS shop but it seems that was of the original Game Boy Advance Four Swords, not Four Swords Adventure on the GC.

Yeah if you want to play it you need a gamecube or a wii, some gbas and the link cables. Crystal Chronicles getting a Switch rerelease gives me hope.
