I'm currently in the City in the Sky. Have the map, compass and double hookshot...but am a bit stuck and have been playing for hours. I need a break!

The problem is, I know if I start Breath tomorrow, I won't go back to Twilight Princess, so I may not play BotW until I'm done with TPHD...

You still have a bit to do. Not a huge amount. But you wont be starting BotW tomorrow. Maybe over the weekend though.

Hmmm, Breath of the Wild might have to wait. It would be a shame to leave this amazing game in limbo.

Wow! City in the Sky is one tricky temple...you really need to be on the lookout for the smallest details....

I've made good progress though, and have activated the final fan, and got the Boss Key...Onwards to the boss!

For some reason, this is the Temple I remember the most from when I first played TP on the Wii all those years ago...it's a very memorable temple.

TP has such incredible dungeons. Truly a great game.

I simply have to finish it before starting Breath of the Wild. I have no idea what's still to come...

TP's second half is great going by memory, glad I have it ready to play.

My Wii U Pad kept disconnecting tonight, had to unplug console and move it away from my Xbox and it was ok, thank feck!

It really is... :-)

TP is such an amazing game. I had forgotten how good it was. The dungeons are truly ingenious.

And as someone said above, playing this game in HD is a dream come true.

This is by far the most epic Zelda game (well, maybe at least until tomorrow)...I love it so much.

Kudos to the Wii U too for having 3 amazing Zelda games in HD...

Now, all Nintendo need to do is HD remakes of Ocarina, Majora and Skyward Sword. These games are too great to be left in the past.

All this talk of Twilight Princess HD is really making me wish I'd got around to playing it, will definitely have to play it after I'm done with Breath of the Wild!

After spending the last fortnight plugging away at Link Between Worlds i completed it about 20 mins ago!

I have to admit I've always preferred the 3D Zelda games, certain elements of the 2D games have always annoyed me a little. Most specifically enemies who you bounce off when they hit you (or you hit them), most commonly encountered near an edge you can fall off!

Have to admit though I absolutely loved this, the 'painting' mechanic worked superbly and the fast travel made the world easy to move around. The whole thing is brought to life brilliantly by the characters and vibrant world but more than anything the music and in particular the Lorule overworld music! It was a little easy, rarely got stumped in dungeons and only died once or twice until the final boss who I died against multiple times before beating!

My main criticisms would be the aforementioned bouncing off ledges and the difficulty to aim certain items and weapons accurately when facing diagonally. Minor complaints though. An absolutely brilliant game and definitely my favourite handheld Zelda, I have the urge to go back and play all the other 2D Zeldas to completion now!

I have never played a Zelda game (properly, anyway) so one of the first games I'll be trying on my new Nintendo Mini is the original Legend of Zelda.

Start at the beginning and all that

Technically, if you want to "start at the beginning", then you need to play Skyward Sword first!!

In the Zelda timeline, I think NES Zelda comes somewhere quite a bit later after Ocarina of Time :-)

I'm being very strict and, despite having Breath of the Wild, am still going to complete Twilight Princess first!!

It's killing me...

Just defeated the Boss in the City in the Sky (epic battle, loved it hookshotting between the towers).

Won the Second Star Game (got myself the Giant quiver - great prize), and have just entered the Palace of Twilight :-)

No!

More like eating a delicious starter, then moving on to an even better main course :)

Twilight Princess is amazing!

I've just finished the Palace of Twilight - made some really good progress this evening. The Zant battle was pretty cool, as you have to use all the different skills you've learnt along the way.

I have 16 hearts, so am still missing 4...Don't think I'll find them all without a Guide.

Onwards to Hyrule Castle!

I think BotW has just pummelled every other zelda game into the centre of the earth, unless the dungeons are rubbish.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Don't expect too much from the dungeons, they're not the focal point of BotW.

There's a very interesting article / interview with the BotW director in the latest EDGE...I think reading it will actually help people's understanding of the game, and improve their experience.

That's fine, I find dungeons a drag and much loved the overworld challenge parts of skyward sword. Sure, beating a testing dungeon is great, but it just feels too much like a slog these days. I'm so happy they finally shook things up. By rubbish I mean, that's clearly not the case, the shrines are fantastic.

Yeah I know! Not been particularly enamoured by what I've played of that one in the past but my aim is to complete all the mainline Zelda games eventually and that one is very much on the list. I'll even try to do it without cheating!

It's the hardest game I've ever experienced. Miles harder then BotW or Zelda 1

I'm still on Dungeon 6. Need to dig the NES back out and soldier through it. I will get there!

I've started playing Minish Cap on the GBA emulator on my phone. I've just done the first dungeon. Having only ever finished wind waker and dabbled in ocarina and twilight princess this is a decent little zelda game with an interesting mechanic. Having instant savestates makes starting and stopping a lot easier too.

I did it! I completed Twilight Princess HD

And only 1 day behind schedule...Just finished the epic last battle - and what a great battle it was :-) Loved every second of it.

Twilight Princess is an amazing game, and the HD version finally does it justice. It just didn't look good on Wii, but the HD version really makes the graphics, landscape and intricate architecture stand out.

Truly a phenomenal game - if you own a Wii U, you have to get it.

I haven't 100% it, my stats are:

17/20 hearts
28/60 Poes
10/24 bugs
24/50 stamps

Wow, looking at those stats, I've far from 100% it...but with over 50 hours play time, I feel like I've given it my all :-)

I will try and 100% it this year...but there's something else which requires my attention first...

...Breath of the Wild :toot:

Great work, Andy - it seemed like you had a cool time doing so :toot: . I believe you've joined the likes of Hyperion and TWA in finishing off Zelda titles.

Onwards to... Breath of the Wild :) .

Thanks, it was truly epic :)

I'm so excited about Breath of the Wild :toot:

There's something about Zelda games which is truly special. I'm a bit of a Zelda nutcase...I dread to think how many hours I've invested in the games...!
