By the time it comes out Disney will have probably disowned the whole sequel trilogy anyway :shifty:

Disappointing it's been delayed again. I was building the Lego AT-AT the other day and the back page is a "coming 2020" advert for it. Wishful thinking :(

Yeah, I just hope it's not going to see more than a year delay from the original date The Star Wars Show leaked.

Feels like this game has been in development for ages, here's hoping it'll be worth the wait.

Have I missed a release date announcement? Is it up for pre-load?

Gotta be a glitch or something. There's been no new information since the delay announcement. I wouldn't be surprised if they're getting things ready behind the scenes for a late June / early July release.

I hadn’t even see there was a deluxe edition for this but it doesn’t look to contain much more? Unless the 6 dlc character packs are quite hefty? Disappointed we didn’t see anything about this at E3 though, do we know what’s happening with it? With no news for ages I’m struggling to see a 2021 release really.

Supposedly bug testing is taking a longer than they anticipated, which does line up with the fact they're on a new engine and want this to be the best game possible. I'm just not certain it'd take an entire year to do so. However, I'm still confident we'll see it this year, especially since when it's ready it will only need around two months (maybe even less if being very hopeful) of marketing to get people hyped for it again.

I am kind of hoping it does slip into next year, though, as there's so much already for the rest of this year - especially within the October-November period it's likely to launch in - that I'd either never spend as much time with it as I'd want, or be spending so much time on it I'll never get around to everything else.

It'd be a bit of a dick move to skip out on E3 to show the game off at an event that's only just started, but I suppose there's no better way to hype the event up than with the lure of more information on such a highly anticipated game. And it is a LEGO game. I don't expect anything there, but I'll be happy if there is.

Surely a lot of people aren’t going to tune into a Lego stream in the hope of seeing a game though? Most will be just be hoping to see new Lego sets? Probably could have got another new trailer here but leaving it solely for this event when E3 has happened seems a little odd if it was ready to show off.

Makes sense to me why they'd save it for their own event. But you'd also think if they had plans to show it they would say so to actually get people hyped and tuning in.

I get why official confirmation of it being there would be great, but why bother if all the influencers are hyping the event up for you? Theorectically, you want as many people watching as possible, and anything you could say will lose you viewers - whether that be a "Well, it's confirmed to be there so I'll watch the trailer later" or a "It's not gonna be there so why bother". Not saying official at all attracts everyone who has been caught in the hype of the influencers.

Not news of the game, but something interesting regarding TT Games.

It seems over these last few months, plenty of the long-standing members of the company have been or are in the process of leaving. Where are they heading to? Well, it seems quite a few have formed their own company to continue making games. The name of that company? 10:10 Games. Is something going down at TT Games that we're yet unaware of? Or are these long-standing members sensing the impending closure of the studio and getting the hell away from there before it does? There's been rumours to that effect for quite a few months now, after all. I wouldn't put it past WB Games to do something like that - especially if they've lost the LEGO licence once The Skywalker Saga releases.

This is intriguing, Rula. The game does seem to have had lengthy delays and, of course, there are rumours about what Warner is doing with its game studios. Hmmn... let's keep our ears to the ground!

Definitely. The game has been sounding so promising that it would be a shame if it never got released owing to studio mismanagement from high up. However, I still believe it is almost here.

I’ll be gutted if it doesn’t get released, it’s all sounded so positive so far!

Indeed. I'm still remaining on the positive side. Yes, we haven't heard much about the game, but no news doesn't have to mean bad news. After all, the Expanded and Enhanced Edition of GTA V was announced over a year ago and there's been very little even talked about of it. Yes, the difference between a port and a completely new game is huge, but if there's one studio who are kings of being secretive yet provide outstanding results, it's Rockstar.

Do we actually know for certain they’ve lost the Lego license once Skywalker Saga is out? Or is it just heavily rumoured? Makes you wonder the fate of this if they’ve lost the license (or losing it) and potentially scaling/closing down their gaming division at Warner Bros, doubt they’ll happily pass all the work onto another developer to finish off!

I honestly have no idea. Losing the licence seems unlikely to happen - since TT Games are great at what they do. But if there's uncertainly about TT remaining as a studio, I could certainly see LEGO Branding considering such a removal.
