Caved and got this from cdkeys last night.

It's very charming

Not a fan of the tight camera angle in split screen though.
Whatever happened to horizontal split? Or even equal ratio split? Everyone has giant tellies nowadays, so it'll be like each person has their own 25-30" screen

One thing I've noticed is that the camera has a lot of trouble coping with the sections where you need a split Protocol Droid when playing in split-screen co-op. The camera can just end up stuck and not move while you end up moving completely off screen. There's a section on Kamino where we just can't see what we're supposed to do because the droid half just goes off screen while the camera just stops.

The PC version has an interesting feature for co-op. If you have multiple monitors connected to your PC you can have each player have their own screen, rather than a single split screen

Not sure why they chose the Quigon voice actor that they did.

Sounds like the Richard Nixon from Futurama ffs :slol:

The pod racing is great fun!

Although a bit later on when it went to a cut scene the screen was black but the audio kept playing. I've heard there are a few bugs in the game so assuming this is one of them.

Back on this tonight, just about to do the pod race.

Edit, the pod race was ridiculously short

I managed to softlock the game a few days ago by accidentally crashing into the Trade Federation battleship during a random encounter. Every time I respawned, I immediately crashed into the ship again, before I could make any kind of control input or even bring up the holoprojector. So I got stuck in a constant death loop until I quit the game.

We did the pod race yesterday too :slol: Felt like the steering was a bit weird for us in co-op. Like driving a boat or something, you'd steer, it wouldn't respond, so you'd steer more and then have to really drag it backwards when the pod started turning far more than you wanted it to.

Appreciated how the second player got to play as Gasgano, though. What a guy :datass: Is there a different cutscene depending on whether you manage to win with Anakin or is it always the same? I crossed the finish line as Gasgano first so we got a cutscene of #TeamAni looking all upset, and then Jar Jar fell onto the track so the pod swerves and crashes into the wall to let Anakin win

Got to Coruscant last night, just about to go and see Palpatine and it crashed on me. Going to explore the various areas a bit before moving on.

Oh interesting! I was doing single player.

The cut scene with Anakin winning was different, but quite a standard 'yay we won' cut scene, with inevitable Jar Jar antics in the background.

Spent a good hour and a half exploring the first area of Coruscant, going to look around the Jedi temple later, while it’s not perfect in my opinion this is such an enjoyable game.

What characters should I have available from the deluxe edition at this point? I’ve got Solo and Mandalorian characters but don’t seem to have any of the classic ones? Or isn’t that pack available yet? Edit, just looked and the next lot of DLC, including the classic pack is out on the 19th of April with the rest on the 4th of May.

Did you go digital?

I know you got Classic Obi Wan (no idea if it’s early or an exclusive) for pre ordering the game digitally so not sure whether to expect him or not, it’d be a surprise for sure but a welcome one!

I think when I load this up again later I’ll find a list of codes to unlock a few more bits as well.

Maybe it’s just for the digital version then, I’ll just have to wait and see what I get this time next week!

Very slow progress here but just finished off Phantom Menace and starting Attack of the Clones. Loved the Darth Maul fight! Naboo starfighter mission seemed to yield a bit of money, is there a good one for grinding on? Really want the 2x multiplier ASAP!

The speeder chase at the beginning of Attack of the Clones might do it. Since after the loop it's just an endless resetting corridor of flight.

Just realised that even though I bought this on cdkeys, it's let me redeem the 6000 points on the rewards app.

Right result that
