Leisure Pools - Flumes, Slides and Aquatic Fun

I’m looking for a leisure pool with flumes and such. I live in the south east of England (Peterborough) and there is nothing locally in spite of it being a reasonably large city.

I grew up in Inverness and we had the awesome Aquadome with a wave machine, winding river, outdoor section and three flumes including the vertical Loch Ness Monster ride which I was too scared to ride as a child broke their leg in it shortly after opening in the late 90s.

I know Peterborough is no tourist hub but all we have is “the regional” serving a quarter of a million people.

I should add this isn’t for me, I have two kids who love the aqua fun but we just want to go down a water slide on an inflatable doughnut but have no options nearby.

Can anyone recommend a pool / water sorts centre within a reasonable distance? GRcade - I believe in you!

Coral reef in Bracknell is probably your best bet.

It has a pirate ship and slides and white water rapids.
And it's where Maddie Moate filmed an episode of "do you know" for cbeebies.

Recently refurbished aswell.

Guildford spectrum was good as a kid not sure what it's like now though.

South East

Coming from Inverness, everything south of Newcastle is South East. :lol:

Peterborough is in that weird bit between the East Midlands and East Anglia that doesn't really have an identity.

I went there once for an away game. Was probably my last time on a terrace. I think we lost 3-2, but I saw Will Hughes make his debut. Good memories :wub:

The Middle East?

My grandparents used to live in a village just outside of Peterborough called Caster which seemed very nice (if you're into a small village vibe).

To my knowledge there were no waterparks though. Does Centre Parcs do day passes? Elvden can't be that far away? (Closer than Bracknell?)

Does Twinlakes have some kind of outside water park? Think that's near Melton Mowbray which isn't too far from Peterborough.

Didn’t realise people were so precious about which part of the country Peterborough could be found. The local weather forecasts completely erase it from the map in spite of it being the largest settlement in the region. Wtf is Leighton Buzzard? :lol:

Thanks for the tips guys, Bracknell (and Maddie Moate) sounds awesome. I know Center Parcs and Alton Towers have these facilities but they aren’t accessible without additional outlays.
