Light No Fire is a game about adventure, building, survival and exploration together. Set on a fantasy planet the size of Earth, it brings the depth of a role playing game to the freedom of a survival sandbox.

FEATURES

A Multiplayer Earth
Carve a life together. Meet players from across the globe, build a life, explore and survive together. Construct persistent buildings and communities, or strike out alone to discover the world for others.

A Procedural Earth
A truly open world, with no boundaries, at a scale never attempted before. A massively varied and dense planet filled with immersive biomes, unique enemies and valuable resources to discover.

A Fantasy Earth
Light No Fire presents you with an ancient earth to uncover. One where you're not the hero. Thick with lore, mystery and a constant fight for survival. Inspired by the adventure, charm and imagination that we love from classic fantasy.

An Unexplored Earth
Every mountain can be climbed, and below them lie endless vistas, oceans and continents perhaps no others have seen. Who will climb the tallest mountains, who will find the deepest sea? Set sail across vast oceans and rivers, ride wild beasts through fantastical landscapes, fly dragons over undiscovered landscapes.

Hello Games making Molyneaux sized claims again. Good luck to them, could be something absolutely incredible. After 3 years of patches. I'm there, day 900.

Definitely my most-anticipated game unveiled at The Games Award Show. I love the idea of No Man's Sky's technical world creation being used in this fantasy earth setting. I suspect it could be some time before we reach launch but I'm eager to see more of this!

Does this mean they've finally finished No Man's Sky and it's safe to play that without worrying about another major update coming that will change the game?

It has always been safe to enjoy playing the game :-). Don't fear the (free) updates; the game is constantly being enhanced. Dive in and check it out... if new stuff then arrives, all the better!

They've released updates that have made pretty mega changes to systems and how planets are generated. It's pretty frustrating to be well into a game when that stuff changes. I'd much rather wait until they've confirmed the game is finished and there's no more content updates coming so I can play safe in the knowledge there'll be no more tinkering that'll make me feel like I should start over again.

I can see your point, dude... but the game just isn't a complete, "finished" title. It's an on-going game over seven years old now; I'd recommend just jumping in and, if further additions are made, you'll probably find that you enjoy them.

^ Confirmation that Hello Games have been working on this for "five years" already; hopefully the release date isn't too far away.

I'm with Knoyleo, but for slightly different reasons: I played No Man's Sky at launch, and if I find time to play it again it'll only be once more. I'd much rather wait until the game is finished and done so I can experience everything in that playthrough. I don't want to play the game only for new stuff to be added because I know I will never get a chance to play that new content.

As for Light No Fire, it looks really cool! But of course, everyone is going to be suspicious of that now and wait to see how it is after release.

I really love the idea, tech and ambition behind No Man's Sky, and Hello Games are local to me so I've been keen to see what they do next. This trailer didn't sell me on the game.

It just looks a bit lifeless and uninteresting. Outside of a few fish and birds it seems all other activity is from other players. I don't have any interest in a multiplayer focused game so I probably won't play it, unless there is a lot more they aren't telling us.
