Weird that we don't already have a thread for this.

I just read a theory on who H is. Possibly bollocks but sounds compelling to me. MASSIVE SPOILERS obviously.

I actually hope that isn't true. That character would be far better as just an evil passive aggressive bully than an actual criminal mastermind

Yeah I've seen that too and I agree with you, I'd prefer it not to be them. She's better as a super ambitious jobsworth.

Realistically though if Jimmy Nesbitt's character is dead, it's Carmichael, Osborne or Ted's boss. Osborne would bring it back to the very first episode of the show.

While super strawberry floating ridiculous, I love the idea that Jimmy Nesbitt was the Spanish policeman

I genuinely don’t know what would annoy me more, H being Hastings or H not being Hastings.

Either way I shall be writing to my member of parliament.

Do we think H is going to be revealed in the next episode?

It certainly seems peculiar that they'd spend Jimmy Nesbitt money on someone who only appears as a photo. That seems a pricey way to lay down a false trail.

This has become good then?
I tried watching the first episode a while back but couldn't hack the bad acting.

I’ve just started series 6 of this, if I can get an episode watched a day I’ll be set to watch the final episode of this series next Monday. I do think on a whole Line of Duty is really good, I do feel that a little bit of the insane numbers/reviews it gets is down to it being a really good programme on the beeb rather than a classic 10/10 programme.

I’m calling that H is Buckells, he’s been there from the first series and is so unassuming that everyone should be more amazed at his promotion let alone being H, always hovering around the main cast and storylines too.

Please note, the above is largely rubbish and intended for the purposes of a joke, please don’t hand me a yellow notice

Private Eye thinks this is the stealth final season. I'm leaning towards we find out who H is next week but they're not arrested and BBC immediately announces season 7 is the last.

It's very good yes. Give season 1 another go, there's a long overarching storyline going back to the very beginning.

I've never watched this but everyone is going on about it all of a sudden. Is it worth starting it now?

I kind of hope that it is because it's starting to get a bit tired. Saying that, I think there are too many things to tie up in just one episode so I think another season is inevitable.

I've really enjoyed LoD but it's time to wrap it up, sincerely hoping next week is the last. I don't know how they can possibly wrap it up without it being an anticlimax either!

It is really good, I started it a few weeks back and mainly been watching an episode a day, some days 2 if it’s been nearing the end of the series as it’s the last 2 episodes when they slot everything together on screen. Most series have had 6 episodes, first and sixth being the outliers (with 5 and 7 respectively), majority an hour each. Certainly worth trying at the very least.

The last couple of seasons haven't been a patch on the earlier ones. I'm finishing the show out of habit but it's all gone a bit stale IMO.

I wish I had re-watched the earlier series as I can't remember half of the characters names, which slightly ruins some of the scenes when I have to pause it to quickly google who they were and remember what they did :slol:

I enjoy this a lot, but I hope it's coming to an end with this series.

I would be really sad to see H be Hastings, he's a good man dammit! Jesus Mary Joseph and the wee donkey, don't be you, Ted :(

If the series doesnt end with Kate taking out a nuke with an RPG whilst skysurfing Steves spine its going to be a let down.

All of that is far more realistic than some of the stuff in the moan about your neighbours thread.

Started watching the series since it moved to BBC 1 and it's been very enjoyable and some of the interview parts are some of the best TV around. Though I do think the series is starting to run it's course, this series especially has been a bit hit and miss.
