Says the one in here talking unconstructive crap, stop trying to force your opinions in other peoples faces when they are clearly not interested.

Linkin Park rock, don't diss them. I can't believe how childish people are over this...just listen to what you want without criticising peoples musical tastes...

The way I see it, if you're happy with the music Linkin Park are making then good for you. I haven't enjoyed their output for the past few years. I understand that bands need to change and adapt to go with the times, but I feel they could've stuck a little closer to their roots in the process - at least keep some of the metally sound. And no, I'm not saying they should make a carbon copy of the first two albums.

Anyway...

Does anyone know if this song was ever released? They were playing it live as a demonstration of new material the year before Minutes to Midnight came out.

This is actually a return to form after two mostly iffy albums. Was shocked at how good it is start to finish.

Yep, it's awesome from start to finish. Tinfoil and then Powerless are awesome. Lost in the Echo is still my fav song.

It was only ever featured on one of the LPU Cd's as they didn't include it in any final projects, tis a shame as it's one of their best tracks from recent years.

The more I listen to this, the more I love it. It's a perfect mash of the experimental electronics of A Thousand Suns, the pure energy of Hybrid Theory and Meteora and the slightly dour song structures of Minutes to Midnight.

It's interesting just how much of the vocal work is done by Mike though, his rapping return is much welcome, but there's also a ridiculous amount of actual singing, which is great, he's got a great low-key singing voice.

Listening to powerless on my iphone.

The album starts off so energetic then ends softly with emotion. Best album since HT, although for me meteora more or less matched their debut for big hits and probably had more; breaking the habit, somewhere i belong, faint and numb!

Even the band admit Meteora was exactly the same album more or less.

Same style, yes, but just as awesome music. Castle of Glass is one of their best songs yet so different.

Did any of you see Mike Shinoda's tweets yesterday evening during the album listening party? Really interesting little tidbits about the tracks...

Chester sang his parts of LIES GREED MISERY while very sick; he had a fever and chills (maybe that added to the performance)

I'll be gone was a hard song to write. Lots of revisions over the course of a full year.

The beginning verse thru 1st chorus on CASTLE OF GLASS are the demo recordings--the first time I ever sang those words.
I was basically freestyling the words and playing acoustic guitar.

Shout out to Brad Delson singing at the end of UNTIL IT BREAKS

Mike.

Lost In the Echo is my fav song, probably the most deep meaning for me too. The music, rapping and singing is the best imo. Mike's improved a lot and shows in Until It Breaks, which is a weird one for sure, but awesome still.
