Recently discovered this interesting looking indie puzzle-platformer. Didn't see a thread for it and thought it was worth keeping an eye on.

Immerse yourself in Little Nightmares, a dark whimsical tale that will confront you with your childhood fears! Help Six escape The Maw – a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next meal. As you progress on your journey, explore the most disturbing dollhouse offering a prison to escape from and a playground full of secrets to discover. Reconnect with your inner child to unleash your imagination and find the way out! A nine-year old girl named Six is kidnapped from her home and taken to work in The Maw – a surreal underwater resort catering to the whims of the powerful elite. When an unexpected twist of fate offers her a chance at freedom, Six takes a journey through the bizarre and unpredictable world of The Maw, and catches a glimpse at the corrupt heart of modern happiness.

Little Nightmares is a puzzle-platformer developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Coming Spring 2017.

I'm surprised there isn't much chat about this game as it's looks awesome. A couple of my favourite games of recent times were Limbo and Inside, this looks almost like a natural successor to those games so I really can't wait for it.

In fact, I'd say it my most wanted game on PS4 at the moment.

In fact, I've just preordered the special edition from Game. It's only thirty quid(twenty for normal edition)(clearly quite a short game sad face), and comes with a lovely wee statue, stickers and a couple of other things.

It's ages since I've bought a special edition due to life changes but this is gorgeous and totally cheap so it's a complete no brainer.

I played the demo at the PC Gamer Weekender (the only good thing about the whole experience) and it feels a bit like Inside; vaguely physics-based puzzle platforming, avoiding roaming baddies, that kind of thing, but you have some 3d movement in and around the environments. It has the look and feel of a weird and disturbing claymation film from the mid to late 80s/early 90s; the kind spoken of in hushed tones about being on at 2am on wednesday morning on channel 4 or something, and your friend swears he has a recording but keeps "forgetting" to bring it in.

My only concern with games like this is that they can do a lot of buildup but lose their way towards the end if they go on for too long. Inside, Limbo etc were quite short so they didn't outstay their welcome. I'll definitely wait for reviews before making a choice one way or another.

Going by the twenty quid price tag, I'd suggest that this won't be much longer than Limbo or Inside.

It is but Amazon have matched the Argos price so with the Prime discount it makes it £13.99 for the standard edition.

Can't believe there hasn't been a single post on this since before I bought it.

Bought it again with all DLC as it was £4. Really enjoyed mopping up the trophies and playing the DLC's. Anyone not played the DLC I can highly recommend it as it all ties in with the main story.

Shame about the controls at times, now I know why the gold trophy is 0.5% you must have a lot of patience to complete the main game under an hour with no deaths. So many times I died because of getting shagged on something or jumping onto a platform and it not connetcing.

Also the end of The Residence................Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammm

The platforming reminded be a lot of LBP. It can be quite imprecise.

I loved the game as a whole though, very creepy and says so much without dialogue.

I got this on Switch and it’s still great but the load times are awful. Looking forward to the sequel though

One of those games that I liked a lot but got distracted from. I need to go back to it.

Really good game, massively enjoyed it. It had proper Ghibli nightmare vibes all the way through.

It was a touch trial-and-error in some sections, but the art design was amazing. Really looking forward to the sequel this year.
