I'm pretty sure everyone has some sort of ancient appliance in their home, even if it'd just a gas metre, sink or lamp.

Shame they never mentioned how often it needs repairing.

With a toaster that old, I'd guess he'd need to repair it once every six or seven years.

I've got a towel that is forty-seven years old this year (parents' wedding present). It's a bit on the scratchy side (it's no different to the unused ones my dad had under his bed for years and got out when we moved out so maybe that's how they made towels in the seventies...) but it doesn't smell and it still dries so it's all good!

I have a really old towel too. It's the only one big enough and some kind of English made Egyptian Cotton or something. It's probably combed as it's still soft.

I was really pissed when a housemate made off with the matching hand towel. It's the pair I took to uni and that was basically all I needed. That was in 2008. :slol:
