PostLooking for a new monitor, recommendations needed

I'm currently using a 19 inch LG monitor which while decent enough isn't quite big enough, ideally I'd like to replace it with a 22 inch one, it also needs to be height adjustable as my desk is quire high to allow my wheelchair to fit uner it (my current monitor is lowered so the bottom edge of the screen is about 5cm off the desk).

I've mainly been looking at Samsung and LG ones but I'm open to other brands as long as they aren't gooseberry fool (so no Acer or Phillips).

my budget is about £150.

Are Iiyama one of those lesser known brands that are actually really good?

I bought this LG IPS monitor for £119 from eBuyer recently and love it. The only problem is that when I turn the computer on I need to switch the display off and on again before sound comes out of my speakers. I don't know why this happens but it's only a minor inconvenience.

We tested a whole bunch of monitors at work, including Samsung and LG ones before settling on the equivalent Iiyama 22". They don't look particularly flashy, but the picture quality is excellent. We've yet to have a single fault with them too. Obviously we haven't tested any games on them mind.

Personally though I tend to go for Samsung. :shifty:

Looks like both of these monitors are using the same e-IPS panel (made by LG) so performance should be similar. You should go with whichever brand has the better warranty/after-care service.

They both look quite decent and reasonably priced but there's still the issue of height adjustment, ideally I'd like the bottom edge of the monitor as close to the desk as possible.

Think I might just get something like This instead of using the supplied stand.

That would appear to be a better idea to get the screen lower. I really can't find fault with my iiyama screens for games or anything else. I sold one to Fatal Exception 2 or 3 years ago. Not sure if he still has it though.
