Bar one or two anomalies it seems strangely spot on

I would as well, however there are trilogies (such as LoTR) in which the last film is better than the first.

The last Bourne film is equal to the first, with Supremacy being weaker than the other two. However they're making a 4th film so I dunno if it counts anymore.

Do you reckon there's a case to the current trilogy of Batman films, despite the last one still being in production?

LOTR is good but really can be a bit of a slog to get through at times. I concur with the original Indy trilogy for best.

LOTRs is definitely the trilogy I enjoy watching the most, it's just so quality. Just behind it would be the Evil Dead Trilogy and the Vengeance Trilogy.

Toy Story trilogy is my favourite.

In a nutshell - the best trilogies are arguably those that have a narrative arc slicing through all 3 movies, like BTTF, LotR, Toy Story (to an extent).
But 2 films of the trilogy can be bloody awesome, and as Meatloaf once sang "Two out of three ain't bad". See: The Godfather. Tricky to judge, that one.
A lot of what's been mentioned are franchises, more than 3 movies, the strawberry float's the matter with you? Indiana Jones :lol:

I think it is the best I have seen. But I haven't seen lots of what some of you have liked. For example I have never seen toy story 2 and 3.
