So, just walk finished all seasons of Breaking Bad last night. Only started on season 1 a couple of months ago (very late to the party I know!)

Nothing was spoilt for me as I'd not heard anything of the storyline from anyone at all, somehow.

Amazing viewing all the way through.

Gonna watch the movie and Better Call Saul now

Just started on series 5 today. Series 4 climax :o  Amazing death scene!

I've loved how this turned out to be nothing like I expected regarding character dynamics. Even Walter's Mrs exhibited a v dark side during the hospital visit to guy she had the affair with/loaned money to. (I was expecting her to be mortified at how afraid he was for his life!)

Someone really needs to invent a targeted memory wipe to allow people to watch stuff again fresh!

Define LTTP as all I can picture is Link brewing drugs in a SNES game

"Late To The Party" I believe. Used for when people are talking about something that others have played/watched ages ago!

Link going full Walter White would have made Link to the Past a better game though ;)

Think OR would agree with you - he thinks ALTTP is garbage!
Thanks for the definition :msgreen:

The spider episode and the follow-up where they obliterate all evidence :(

Jesse dining with the Whites :slol:

The more I watch this more I am puzzled by all the WW/Heisenberg tat I saw years ago; the guy is a monumental pos, why would you want his mug all over your clobber?

We watched it again recently and yeah, this.

My favourite coffee shop in Manchester has his face covering half their wall and I just wonder...why? Walt is such a hateful, disgusting character by the end. But of course we all know why: people who haven't seen or vaguely remember the show putting a character they see as the epitome of edgy cool on a pedestal. Same thing happened with Scarface. Both that and BB are morality tales showing the downfall of, if not decent men then not actively evil ones, into chaos and ruin but all people took from them in the long run was the "One who knocks" speech and Tony Montana with a grenade launcher.

BB is strawberry floating amazing though.

You could be forgiven for rooting for Walt for the first series, because we're used to sympathizing for main characters, but it soon becomes clear what a banana split he is. On rewatching, you notice it right from the outset and fully sympathise with Skylar and the rest, especially with how he constantly manipulates Jesse for his own selfish gain.

But yeah, as Taff says, OMFG HEISENBURG WEARS A HAT

You can tell a lot about someone by asking them how they view Skyler in Breaking Bad. Orange?

The hatred that some of the fandom give to Skyler is one of the things I still don't really get, it's like the toxic Star Wars fans with Rose in TLJ. :dread:

It all boils down to "woman doesn't let man be an arsehole because being an arsehole is cool." That's it. That's the argument.

On my first viewing I was (In the first series) annoyed that he was doing all these things to help them but couldn't tell them, and she was giving him gooseberry fool. On a rewatch I saw just what a manipulative banana split he was and she was totally right to call him put on his gooseberry fool at all points. When he tells people of her strawberry floating Ted to get people on his side :fp:

Dem obvious and desperate breakfasts.

Even on first viewing I thought that Skyler was pretty justified in her position pretty much all the way through, but repeat watches do definitely bring to the forefront just how much of a strawberry floater Walt was.

Anna Gunn did an incredible job with that character.

Skyler was nowhere near as bad as Walt (it’s not even close) but she was hardly a decent person either. The smoking while pregnant scene for instance. :dread:

There were very few decent people in BB, the hatred for Skyler was just misogynistic tripe, there were far more people worthy of hate than her.
