Release date will be on Halloween, I am sure that people who loves Super Mario will enjoy playing this spooky treat.

I didn’t realise this was going to have paid DLC. What I read suggests multiplayer content but I hope there’s some extra single player stuff too.

I’d be happy if there wasn’t any for the single-player to be honest. What with the industry the way it is, I’m all the way up for one-off complete releases for most titles.

Of course I thoroughly intend to buy both pieces of Hat in Time DLC... #partoftheproblem

Mario x Rabbids, Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade 2 have all had fantastic single player DLC on the Switch. I’d be happy with most Nintendo titles getting additional single player content if they are to that standard.

Fair, they do tend to do it better. Even the season passes tend to be pretty good. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t still nice to have a complete experience with no DLC planned once in a while.

Also those examples you mentioned were basically different games built on an existing engine: I almost don’t consider Torna DLC. I’m more than happy with that sort of thing, but I wouldn’t want another bolt-on mansion.

Do we know when reviews are due for this? I'm guessing the day before, so i wont be able to order it in time (physical) for Halloween if it reviews well. Hoping to be proven wrong by someone though!

I must admit I don’t care and have pre-ordered it already. Still time for me to be embarrassed by an average game, but I don’t think I will be somehow...

Yeah, to be fair its probably not the biggest risk in the world if you liked the previous 2. I'm just concerned that the game may be a bit on the short side (fine in itself, but if its propped up by multiplayer content that i will never play then it would be an issue for me).

Fair enough. As long as this has ten hours of quality gameplay I’ll be fine. I don’t intend to spend a long time on the multiplayer either: I suppose it might get a roll-out now and then, but the Switch is not starved for good local multiplayer games.

Looking forward to getting this next week, I’m holding off starting anything else as this is what I plan on playing for Halloween (providing it turns up of course)

I’m also planning on playing/starting this on Halloween, although I have a slight obsession with revisiting my town in Animal Crossing New Leaf on Halloween so that might take up an hour of my evening!

Plan to play it on all hallows eve, but my wife has preordered from Amazon, so I'm expecting it to arrive late.

I’ve flat out stopped using Amazon for pre orders of anything, ShopTo gets my vote every time. Normally a day early, sometimes even earlier, (I got The Witcher 3 on Saturday the 12th when it wasn’t releasing till the 15th) but at worst launch day.

I’m more nervous than Luigi...
