ok didn't know there was luigi's mansion 2. the original was one of my first games my sister had it on the game cube. very short from memory i just hope this one is longer, if it is i might pick it up as one of my first switch games!!

The rest of the game looks good too I suppose. Doesn't look very scary though: only LM1 really seems to have tried to go for borderline scary as well as entertainingly daft on Luigi's part. Not sure if I mind or not.

Yeah, it’s a shame because I loved that about the original but Nintendo obviously want to appeal to the wider audience that 2 sold so well to.

Regardless though, I thought this looked wonderful :wub:

Oh yes it looked tremendous! Just not very scary. LM2 was really charming though, so I don't mind that.

First one is quality, remember people being a bit wanky about it at the time. I suppose it wasn't what people expected of a launch title for a new console but who gives a gooseberry fool.

Still need to play the second one and this looks good.

The first only lasted 5-6 hours so I think that drove the criticism a little. However, it stood the test of time well.

Both existing LMs have bundles of charm, so that was never in doubt, but it never hurts to confirm! Except I haven't because I want to minimise spoilers.

The mission structure was the worst part of 1. I'm glad they've ditched that, but I'm not surprised: it seemed to be purely to make the game manageable for the humble 3DS.
