Just watched episodes 2 and 3 :D
I thought ep2 wasn't quite as good as the first episode but I still loved it. My main problem was the way they knew exactly who the killer was straight away just from guessing that he was a soldier but apart from that it was good.
Episode 3 was much darker and probably my favourite so far although I still wasn't keen on the way they found the killer so quickly. Now I'm going to go straight onto episode 4 while I eat my dinner. 8-)

One other thing is the excellent choice in music. I've spotted 4 tracks so far:

Opening titles: Massive Attack - Paradise Circus
Episode 1 Credits: Emiliana Torrini - Gun
Episode 2 Credits: Suede - She
Episode 3 Credits: Muse - Feeling Good

After initially thinking this would be awful (the trailer on Jonathan Ross seemed terrible), I've completely changed my opinion on this now, it's awesome.

I thought that about finding the killer in ep 2 as well, it was a bit daft how quickly they narrowed it down and then identified the guy, I'm sure finding murderers isn't quite that easy.

Episode 4 was excellent and had a few actors I like in it (Ruth from Spooks as the wife and the Bartender from Hustle as the killer).

Good episode.

The best bit was when the maid came through the door and Ian fired a few shots and ran. Luther then says to the maid "did you see his face?". She shakes her head. Luther shouts "Ian, it was just a maid".

So the maid didn't know who it was that shot at her, but now she knows he is called Ian and is mates with Luther. :fp:

Thoroughly enjoyed that, completely agree with Herbi.

I assume it's the last episode (of the season) next week? Either way, it should be a cracking hour. I really should avoid the 'next week' things, as they really give too much away (last week in particular).

Yea it's retarded having them before the credits.

It's a 6 episode season so next week is the finale, should be good. Though Luther surely shot himself in the foot by running away.

Just letting you all know I caught the end of this weeks episode and, being intrigued, am watching them through on catch up. I like me a bit of Stringer Bell.

strawberry floating hell. The last 10 minuites of this weeks episode were amazing. Some really top-notch stuff from the BBC.
Super gutted about Zoe though. She was stunning
The way Luther was saying "I will kill you" was spine chilling :o

Also, the music at the end fitted perfectly. Sia - Breathe Me.

Wishing the only bit of Luther I'd seen out of sequence wasn't the hotel scene of Ep 5 onwards as it took a lot of the bite out of this episode. Still, can't wait till tomorrow evening.

There'd bloody well better be another series of this.

Wow, what an amazing end to the season.

This needs a second season now, I'd be gutted if there one wasn't made soon. So, so much better than I was expecting.

Well they have no evidence against him and he has the diamonds and the video recording against Ian, he is standing over the dead body though so who knows.

I thought that was the best ep of a great season, my only complaint is that for me personally it is a bit too dark in places, the previous two episodes in particular were a bit too grim.

Idris Elba is a fantastic actor.

It's not going to get another series because the ratings are so shocking, but hopefully this'll be just like HBO and The Wire, and the Beeb will carry on with it just because it's so strawberry floating good.
