"Hey Einstein, I'm on your side!"
Fantastic game, to say the least, even if I like the original Starfox/Starwing better, possibly because I found Lylat Wars to be...wouldn't say easy, but certainly a lot less difficult than its predecessor. This led me to some frustration because I was always looking forward to fight it out with Wolf and quickly they became somehow trivial battles.
"Are you gonna listen to that monkey?"
"Haha, you're not as stupid as you look!"
Zoness boss, anyone?
"Disrespectful little whelps!" "I'll teach ye some respect!"
It's just impossible not to love things like the vortex that takes you through surreal stages in Meteos and Sector X, or the amazing Macbeth level with our tank battle
"I didn't expect to have to use this." "You're very lucky."
But one thing that I had already noticed 12 years ago was how two particular expressions seemed to have been left out in the English translation - when we go to Titania [
] and Falco says "He can sure be a pain in the neck."...made me wonder, is that expression actually used? Or the dubbing team at NoA wanted to avoid saying "Pain in the ass"? Also, several characters say "Dang!" in moments of anger, where in my mind, "Damn!" would be the word to use [without sliding over to harsher stuff]. Now, I'm not a native English speaker but these two expressions...well, they just don't seem natural for me, as far as I can remember I never heard anyone say "pain in the neck".
"Cocky little freaks!!"
