Eriatark by The Mars Volta has some really weird lyrics with a strange distortion effect and for ages I heard a couple of bits completely incorrectly.

Trackmarked amoeba lands craft (I heard this as Tadpole animal and crap)

And the other bit I got wrong was

I just dug this thread out and notice the last post is about the song I am posting about!

BYOB by System of a Down. I can barely make out any of the lyrics anyway, but I heard it as "why do they always sit in the park" and have just found out it's actually "why do they always send the poor".

Which completely alters the meaning of the song. I always thought it was about the authorities being horrible about kids and not letting them have fun. Whereas it's actually an anti-war song
