Some of the graphics and gameplay looked a bit ropey ( ;) ) but I cannot deny that this has got me hyped. Really feels like they've nailed what makes an Indiana Jones experience so captivating. The way they talked about it has really got me excited.

When that music kicks in, and Indy is smashing Nazi's in the face, jumping around on top of planes, solving problems with his wits... yeah the kid in me can't help but lose his gooseberry fool!

I got my first person Indy game! :D

I love that the first shot of that trailer was the Nazis in the desert and I was immediately thinking the MachineGames do know how to make good Nazi killing sims.

Definitely looks like I was hoping it would. First person action adventure.

Now can it surpass the gold standard of Indy games that is Fate of Atlantis? We'll see, but I doubt it. Love that game. One of the best P&C games ever made.

It looked very clunky, like a PS3 game. That said there was a deliberateness to the voice and action which gave it a nice vibe and made it feel very Indy.

Time for adventure

Looked pretty decent to me. "Great Circle" still sounds like a joke name to me. I mix it up with "The Wheel of Enormous Proportions" that was in one of the Jackbox collections.

The immersion that first person gives to cyberpunk really makes me pleased this is also first person. Exploring tombs by torchlight

Totally.

I've seen some people moaning that it's not yet another Tomb Raider/Uncharted clone. :fp:

Happy that it's also on ID Tech, getting bored with EVERYTHING needing to be Unreal 5, it also means this will almost certainly run super smooth across console and PC. The FPP was concerning at first but it's differentiated itself from Tomb Raider and Uncharted.

If it had been another 3rd person action game I probably would have lost all interest.

I'd been hoping for something more Metroid: Primey in it's feel and while this seems to be closer to the action side of things, I'm so glad to see the puzzles and other environmental challenges.

It will be Linear AF I reckon but that's not always a bad thing. Definitely my most anticipated game of the year, unless Avowed stuns me (it looks great but not amazing).

Troy Baker is doing a decent Indy impersonation and it looks like him so that side is sorted, I'm hoping it has a lots of easter eggs with nods to the other movies. I'm a massive Indiana Jones fan (even like Dial of Destiny) so pretty excited for this to me my winter game.

Wasn't wowed by the graphics and it had some dodgy animations but overall looked very exciting. They seemed to nail the tone which is the main thing.

Yeah, the problem is Circle just isn't a very exciting enough word. Look at the words used in films-LOST ARK, DOOM, CRUSADE, DESTINY....they're much more interesting sounding words. Not a big deal though and I'm sure it makes me thematic sense to the story.

Much easier to pay a lump sum for Harrison Ford's face than it is to get him in to a recording studio for hours on end to record thousands of lines. And given how off his old man voice sounded in the de-aged parts of Dial of Destiny, would they even want to?

Yeah anyone who played that awful Bond game where they got old Connery back to record lines for a character model of him in the role from the 60s knows that the cognitive dissonance that creates is not worth it!

The old man voice in the latest film was ridiculous.

Haven't watched the latest film, so no idea what Harrison Ford's old man voice is. Feels weird looking at Harrison Ford but not hearing him though, surely they didn't have to go for such a likeness of the actor for the game? Especially when you'll be in first person as well.

This looks amazing! Cannot wait to play this one.

First person should be good, having it third person for set pieces and cut scenes is a great way to make it feel more cinematic in those moments but more immersive in gameplay.

Basically even ford himself can’t do a young indie voice, in a flashback in the last movie they had to alter it to fit and even then it didn’t really work.

Wolfenstein games do a very good job of showing the protagonist (BJ Blazkowicz) so they show him off a lot. Very strange complaint about having the guys face in the game, if it wasn’t you’d probably criticise it!

The Resetera thread is 30 pages of people crying it's not third person. 1st person is objectively the best way to play a shooter.

It’s not a shooter, I’d put it more like Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (same devs) which is more like a Thief/Dishonored type of game.

The amount if people on Resetera that get motion sickness from FPS games is strawberry floating insane or….
